Nishiuchi Mariya Releases Short PV for “Save me”

On October 28, Nishiuchi Mariya will release her new single, “Save me.” The song serves as the theme song for the new Nippon TV drama “Angel Heart”, which debuted this past Sunday night. It is based off of Hojo Tsukasa’s manga of the same name. “Angel Heart” is a spinoff of his popular work “City Hunter”, set in an alternative universe.

“Save me” is described as a medium ballad based on human love that has a sad piano melody. The song showcases Mariya’s vocal strength. She hopes that the song sticks with listeners and she sees it as another step in her development as an artist. The single will come in 3 editions: a CD+DVD+Photobook Limited Edition, a CD+DVD Regular Edition, and a CD only Regular Edition.

Today, Mariya released the short music video for “Save me.” The softness of the song is matched by its music video, which shows Mariya in various dresses in settings such as a meadow and a white bed covered in roses. Check it out after the jump along with the single’s covers and tracklist!
