Upcoming Summer J-Dramas 2014

Summer Jdramas are gearing up for airing! The line up has several season sequels included such as GTO 2, MOZU 2 and Nobunaga no Chef 2. This also includes HERO 2, the sequel to the uber popular HERO aired in 2001, starring Kimura Takuya. The decision for a sequel gained mixed reactions- it’s success or it’s failure- is definitely much anticipated.

On the other hand, drama ‘Wakamonotachi 2014’ boasts of an all star cast, and Dan Mitsu plays her first lead role in ‘Around 30 Chan’. Also, after 2 SPs, Yamada Ryosuke’s Kindaichi version gets a drama series with ‘Kindaichi Neo’.

Sypnopsis: Asakura Tomoko (Kiritani Mirei) obtained her MBA at an American university amd is a rookie reporter for a Tokyo newspaper’s local news desk. Although she is good at numerical expressions, she has not much interest in understanding the feelings of her interview subjects. Furthermore, she has nothing but a lot of pride, and seems to have been branded an unqualified reporter by her superior because of this. In an attempt to overturn this perception, Tomoko decides to do a story on home nursing care based on her memories of her grandfather. However, she gets overwhelmed by the harsh reality and unexpectedly stumbles across a series of unexplained deaths of elderly people receiving such care.
