16-year-old YOSHI debuts “CHERRY BOY”, from 1st album “SEX IS LIFE”

16-year-old YOSHI is one of the newest artists under Universal Japan’s Virgin music label. He got his start at the age of 13, reportedly gaining attention for his good fashion sense.

A well connected individual, his Official instagram is filled of pictures of him attending fashion events from all the big brands including Louis Vuitton ,OFF-WHITE, and Alexander Wang. He also likes sharing pictures of his famous “friends”, ranging from designer Virgil Abloh

He’s even crossed paths with the Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe.

Slated to make his acting debut in September, YOSHI has already started with music. His debut studio album “SEX IS LIFE” is currently available digitally on select retailers, in certain regions. With song titles such as “COBAIN”, “INSANE”, and “MORE TO ME” it’s sure to be a unique listening experience.

The MV for the primary promotional song “CHERRY BOY” has been uploaded to YouTube. Described as an “aggressive hip-hop number”, the song features spirited lyrics such as “My mama told me clean my room, say woo, CHERRY BOY“.

In the MV YOSHI plays around in an abandoned parking lot dancing in front of a burning piano, pretending to play guitar, and lying in a bath tub full of cherries. Check it out below:
