Kyary and Nakata Yasutaka to release split single with foreign artist next year

It has been revealed that Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and Nakata Yasutaka are set to release split single next year.

It was originally announced that Kyary was to release a new single this November with a mystery foreign (non-Japanese) artist, but no further information was released. It has been officially cancelled, presumably in favor of this new joint opportunity.

On January 18, 2017, Nakata will release this new split double A-side single with Kyary Pamyu Pamyu alongside a yet-to-be-named foreign (non-Japanese) artist.

Who could it be?

Kyary and Nakata definitely have no been strangers to producers outside of Japan recently. In the past, the two have been pictured canoodling and seeking approval from foreign artist such as Afrojack, Madeon and PC Music artists, and in 2014, Kyary was rumored to have been working with French singer Yelle and producer SOPHIE. Whoever the single is with, it’s sure to bop to some degree.

Kyary and Nakata’s two-man tour titled “~SPECIAL DJ✕LIVE ZEPP TOUR 2016~ “YSTK×KPP” will begin November 10 and make stops at ZEPP locations in Nagoya, Namba, Tokyo.
