Hoshino Gen Talks Cultural Appropriation, Black Lives Matter, Overseas Activities, and More in New American Magazine Interview

Hoshino Gen recently sat down for a Zoom interview with the American publication FLOOD Magazine. This interview comes on the heels of him remixing Dua Lipa‘s song “Good in Bed” for her recent “Club Future Nostalgia” remix album.

Seeing as how this interview serves as an introduction to Gen for many of its readers, he delves into his genesis as a musician, before talking about his current career. During the course of the interview, Gen talks about the influence of black music on his own (and whether this is appropriation), his thoughts on Black Lives Matter, and his expansion into the overseas market.
