Cover released for Utada Hikaru’s 7th Japanese album “Hatsukoi”

The album cover for Utada Hikaru’s highly anticipated studio album Hatsukoi has been revealed!

The cover is a close up beauty shot of the singer, an obvious homage to Utada’s very first album First Love. It was shot by a photographer named Takay based out of New York City.

Hatsukoi is currently scheduled to have 12 songs in total. Six of the tracks have already been released as digital singles, including ForevermoreOozora de Dakishimete, and Play a Love Song.

Additionally, in support of the album Utada will be embarking on her very first Japanese tour in years. It will kick off on November 6th at Yokohama Arena, and conclude at December 9th at the Makuhari Messe Event Hall 9-11. Full tour dates can be seen here.

These releases all tie-in to the singers 20th anniversary, who surly has more surprises for her legion of fans. On December 9th, 1998 history was made when Utada debuted with her single Automatic / Time Will Tell.

Hatsukoi will be released on June 27th, 2018.
