On August 1, mitsume will release their new single, “Sedan.” The song served as the July ending theme for the TV Tokyo program “Four Card.” The single also includes four bonus tracks which were recorded during the band’s “Headlight Session” YouTube Live on June 11.
The music video for “Sedan” was recently released. It was directed by Suda Yojiro, the band’s drummer, and shot using an 8mm camera. Check it out below, along with more information on the single!
Very recently, Wakusei Abnormal dropped a new music video for their latest single “Chiwagenka“, from their upcoming debut full length album “Watashi wa Ikari de Dekiteiru” out at the end of the month. The date to Namie Amuro‘s retirement draws closer, but the soon-to-be former singer still has some fun tie-ins up her sleeve.
Beginning on Friday August 17th the millions of riders who use the Tokyo and Fukuoka subway will be hearing a melody of Amuro’s song “Hero“, instead of the usual train chime. In Tokyo it will be played on trains departing from the popular Shibuya station to the Tokyo line.
Pop duo Vanilla Beans will be calling it quits later on in the year, they have announced that they will disband and hold their final live concert in October 2018.
The girls got their start in 2007, debuting with the single “U ♡ Me”, but member Rika left the group to become a member of Idoling!!! She was eventually replaced by Risa, along with Rena they remained members until the end.
Today marks the release of a brand new album by Jin Akanishi, making this his very first physical release of 2018.
“A la carte” isn’t a new studio album, it’s more like a compilation album. It contains rearranged versions of some Akanishi’s past songs including “Go Higher”, “Can’t Get Enough”, and “Mi Amor”. This is the very first time Akanishi has released a rearranged album.
Rock duo VAMPS have currently ceased activities as of December 2017, but with the groups 10 year anniversary coming up they decided to do a special release.
On November 28th, 2018 VAMPS will be releasing a deluxe box-set titled “VAMPS COMPLETE BOX – GOLD DISC Edition“. The boxset will be sold on the official Japanese Universal Music store, and pre-orders will open on August 3rd. It’s currently unknown if other retailers in the future will carry the boxset.
News recently broke that actor Ryo Katsuji has married actress and former AKB48 member Atsuko Maeda!
Katsuji took to his official Instagram account to comment on the news, and thank fans for the warm reception and support he has received along with his future wife.
Katsuji stated that he entered the wedding registration with Maeda very recently, and is looking forward to building a bright and happy home with her. He asked that you watch over them warmly as they enter this new chapter in their life.
