Miliyah Kato is preparing for the release of her very first cover album titled “COVERS -WOMAN & MAN-“. The album is one of the many releases curated to celebrate her 15th anniversary in the industry. The two disc album will feature 1 disc with covers from female artists, and a 2nd disc with covers from male artists.
Kato’s cover of Shiina Ringo’s 1999 hit “Honnou” has been selected as one of the main promotional songs for the album. Already performing it on TV, the official MV for the song made it’s premiere this weekend on her official YouTube Channel. The simple MV showcases a short haired Kato performing in black and white with a large backing band, check it out below!

Last night, MTV VMAJ 2020 -THE LIVE- was held. This was the live portion of the MTV VMAJ 2020. The big winner of the night was Aimyon, who took home the night’s top prize, Best Video Award, for “Hadaka no Kokoro”. She was also the winner of Best Female Video -Japan- for that video.
Some of the winners appeared in person, while others sent in taped messages. The show, which had no audience, featured performances by hosts BiSH, as well as Aimyon, BABYMETAL, Creepy Nuts, DISH//, E-girls, Eito, Hinatazaka46, JO1, Little Glee Monster, Macaroni Enpitsu, and NiziU. Back in October we reported that singer/songwriter Masaharu Fukuyama would be releasing a new full-length album on December 8th. It has since been revealed that this record will be titled “AKIRA“, after Fukuyama’s late father who passed away when he was 17.
“AKIRA” will include 17 songs in total – up from the originally announced 16 – a large number of which have yet to be officially released. The album’s tenth track, “Shinon”, has already been made available as a digital single.

On December 2 and 9, 2020 FNS Kayousai will air. Over the course of the two nights, acts such as Arashi, LiSA, JO1, Seiko Matsuda, Kudo Shizuka, and Mr.Children will perform.

With his group AAA deciding to go on hiatus at the end of the year, Shinjiro Atae has decided to do the same next year.
On his Instagram and official site, Shinjiro revealed why he made this decision. After AAA decided to go on hiatus, he thought about his solo career, and arrived at this decision. While his group members will continue their solo careers, Shinjiro wants to gain more life experience, saying that he wants to “study life as a human being, Shinjiro Atae.”
Top actors Mackenyu Arata and J Soul Brothers member Takanori Iwata have teamed up for a brand new film titled “The End of the Tiny World”. Scheduled for release on January 29th, 2020 the film will be distributed by avex’s film division Avex Pictures.
