On August 11, SixTONES will release their fifth single, “Mascara.” The song was written and composed by Tsuneta Daiki of King Gnu / millennium parade / PERIMETRON. “Mascara” is described as a sad love song that expresses the changing emotions of a man.
“Mascara” will be released in three editions: CD+DVD limited edition A, CD+DVD limited edition B, and CD only regular edition. The regular edition will include a 20 page photobook.

Tegoshi Yuya is ready to relaunch his music career! Starting this month, he will release a new digital single each month for the next six months. The first in this series is “Cinnamon”, out July 7. On July 14, “2021 FNS Kayousai Natsu” will air, featuring performances by the likes of King & Prince, Yuuri, Awesome City Club, Snow Man, Official HIGE DANdism, milet, Yuzu, Nogizaka46, LiSA, and EXILE.
Two new sets of performers were recently announced. The second set includes the likes of JO1, Ikeda Elaiza, Kamishiraishi Mone, and Yakushimaru Hiroko. The third set includes, among others, Tokyo Jihen, Hoshino Gen, Tanaka Juri of SixTONES, and Creepy Nuts.
There are also more details on collaborations that will take place on “2021 FNS Kayousai Natsu.” Hiromi Go will collaborate with JO1 and Ryokuoushoku Shakai, performing his “2 Oku 4 Senman no Hitomi -Exotic Japan-” and “Ienai yo”, respectively. Tokunaga Hideaki and NEWS will perform his song “Kowarekake no Radio”, while Hideaki will perform his song “Yume wo Shinjite” with DA PUMP, as well as their song “if…” DISH//‘s Kitamura Takumi will join AI for her song “Story.” Ishizaki Huwie, a fan of Ozaki Yutaka, will perform his song “15 no Yoru” with his son, Ozaki Hiroya. EXILE NAOTO will join Kawasaki Takaya for his song “Mahou no Juutan.” DREAMS COME TRUE‘s “Nando Demo” will be covered by Koda Kumi and Daichi Miura. Creepy Nuts will be joined by Tanaka Juri of SixTONES for their song “Katsute Tensai Datta Oretachi e.”

Songwriter Yu Arauchi, better known as the keyboardist for alternative trio cero, has announced that he will be releasing his first solo record on August 25th. This album, titled “Śisei”, will include ten songs – six of them vocal tracks and four instrumentals – inspired by paintings and art installations that Arauchi has seen.
Arauchi has worked with a large number of musicians on the project, among them co-producer and bassist Hiroki Chiba, drummer Kento Watari, saxophonist Shuntaro Oishi, percussionist Manami Kakudo on vibraphone, and a full string quartet. Of particular note, electronic trio Black Boboi’s Julia Shortreed and New York-based jazz trombonist and singer/songwriter Corey King will be providing both vocals and lyrics for the album.

Back in May we reported that singer/songwriter Nagisa Kuroki would be releasing her fourth studio album “Shinizokonai no Parade” on July 7th. Now that this date has arrived, she has uploaded a PV for the record’s lead track “Kokoro ga Yes to Itta nara” to her YouTube channel.
This music video, directed by GEEK PICTURES’ Ara Ikuma, was shot with 8mm film and showcases people in a variety of fields giving their all. Of particular note is Hiroaki Teshigawara, the current OPBF Super Bantamweight champion and a close friend of Kuroki’s.

Earlier this week up-and-coming singer/songwriter Vaundy released his fourth digital single of the year. The track, titled “Hanauranai”, is currently serving as the theme song for NTV drama “Boku no Satsui ga Koi wo Shita”.
In conjunction with the release, Vaundy has also published a music video for “Hanauranai” to his YouTube channel. The clip, directed by watanabe_nao, features a guest appearance by the drama’s stars Taishi Nakagawa and Yuko Araki as well as choreography courtesy of yurinasia.

On July 21, King & Prince will release their third album, “Re:Sense.” Ahead of the album’s release, they have released the music video for “Namae Oshiete.” King & Prince recorded the song in Los Angeles in 2019 with Babyface at his private studio.
The music video for “Namae Oshiete” has a Broadway theme and features King & Prince looking for a mysterious woman they saw in the theater earlier that night. Check it out below!
