Former Keyakizaka46 member Yui Imaizumi made headlines after it was revealed that she was married to prominent YouTube personality Mahoto Wantanabe. Also announcing her pregnancy, things took a turn for the worse after Mahoto’s domestic abuse and predatory behavior made headlines nationwide in Japan.
Despite the rocky start to their relationship the two remain together, and welcomed a healthy baby in June 2021. In a recent interview Yui revealed that she had terminated her contract with Avex Asunaro Company, effective as of July 2021. Yui will continue to pursue entertainment activities in the future and currently plans to work independently with no management.
On July 17, TBS will air this year’s edition of its annual mid-year music special, “Ongaku no Hi.” The show will begin at 2 PM that day and end at 9:54 PM that night. Nakai Masahiro and TBS announcer Azumi Shinichiro will host the show for the 11th consecutive year.
The theme of this year’s show is “Wa!”, and with it the show hopes to energize Japan and make everyone smile.
The first set of performers for “Ongaku no Hi 2021” has been announced! The list includes the likes of Tokyo Jihen, LiSA, and King & Prince, along with another dozen groups from Johnny & Associates. In total, 33 acts are part of the first set of performers. Check out the full list below!

BTS topped the Combined Album chart for the second consecutive week with their best album “BTS, THE BEST”, with 83,838 points in its second week.

On July 15, Mos Burger will launch its limited time “Mos Spice Summer” menu. The stars of the ad campaign for the special menu are Raul and Watanabe Shota of Snow Man. A commercial featuring the two recently debuted.
“Exciting, but cool”, Raul says in the commercial about the “Cool Spice Tomato” burger, as he gracely twirls. “Deep, but hot”, Shota says after about the “Hot Spice Mos Chicken”, as he dances acrobatically.
The song playing the commerical is a new Snow Man song, “YumYumYum ~SpicyGirl~.” It is one of the B-sides on Snow Man’s new single, “HELLO HELLO”, out July 14. A music video for the song, featuring the group dancing in silhouette, was recently released. Check it out below, along with more information on their new single!
