Straightener to partner with Motohiro Hata for their New Single + Release a Tribute Album

Next year alt. rockers Straightener will be celebrating their 20th anniversary together as a band.  To kick off the festivities early, the group have announced that they will be releasing a special tribute album titled “PAUSE” next week on October 18th.  The release will feature performances from acts like back number, ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION, MONOEYES, and many more, each covering a track from Straightener’s extensive back catalog.

In addition, the band will also be releasing a new single next month on November 15th.  Titled “Akari”, the A-side will see the group collaborate with singer/songwriter Motohiro Hata in order to create the perfect winter love song.  Of note, the single will also feature a cover of Hata’s “Uroko” as a B-Side.

You can find the cover and track list for both of these releases right after the cut.
