Hayashibara Megumi will sing the opening theme song for the new MBS anime “Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju.” The anime will premiere in January 2016. The song is written, composed, and arranged by Shiina Ringo. “Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju” is adapted from the historical manga by Kumota Haruko of the same name.
Megumi will also lead her voice to one of the characters in the anime. The name of the opening theme and its release date have yet to be announced. However, a teaser for the anime has been released.
