Singer/songwriter Kenji Ozawa has announced that he will be releasing a new studio album titled “So kakkoii Uchuu” this week on November 13th. “So kakkoii Uchuu” will be Ozawa’s first new album since 2006’s “Ecology Of Everyday Life”, and his first vocal album since 2002’s “Eclectic”.

This record will include Ozawa’s previously released singles “Ryuudoutai ni Tsuite”, “Fukurou no Koe ga Kikoeru”, and “Arpeggio (Kitto Mahou no Tunnel no Saki)”, as well as seven new songs for a total of ten. In conjunction with the album’s release, the PV for its lead track “Suisei” has been uploaded to his label’s YouTube channel.

Back in August we reported that The Birthday frontman Yusuke Chiba, under the pseudonym SNAKE ON THE BEACH, would be releasing a new solo album titled “Shiosai” on November 27th. Now that this date has drawn considerably closer, he has published the short music video for the record’s lead track “Yochou” to YouTube.

This clip, directed by Tetsuhiko Nono, centers around an eerie shot of a lantern sitting on a rocky seashore. As the video progresses, Chiba fades into and out of sight like a ghost, placing more lamps as the darkness slowly deepens.

In a fax to the press, Arashi member Ninomiya Kazunari announced his plan to marry. He is marrying someone that he has been with for a long time.

On March 19, the Olympic torch relay takeover ceremony will take place at Panathenaic Stadium in Athens, Greece. EXILE HIRO has been chosen as Tokyo’s cultural director for this event. During the ceremony, the previous host city, Rio de Janeiro, will hand over the Olympic torch to Tokyo.

This week, =LOVE topped the Hot 100 single chart with their new single “Zurui yo Zurui ne”, with 16,073 points.

Hey! Say! JUMP topped the Hot Albums chart with their new album “PARADE.”

Official HIGE DANdism also topped the Streaming Songs chart for the 24th consecutive week with “Pretender.”

Arashi topped the Download Songs chart with their new digital single “Turning Up.”

Dotsuitare Hompo topped the Download Albums chart with their debut mini album “Ah, Osaka dreamin’ night.”

Just eight months after the release of their previous album, “Hikari no Naka ni“, psychedelic rock quintet Odotte Bakari no Kuni will be releasing another new record next year on January 22nd. Announced at the conclusion of their recent one-man tour, the longplay – titled “Watashi wa Tsuki ni wa Ikanai Darou” – will include 13 newly composed songs from the band.

The album is set to be issued in two versions, with the Limited Edition to include a DVD containing live footage from the group’s “Hikari no Naka ni” release tour this past June. Of note, the new artist photo which accompanies this press release was shot by photographer Yuki Aizawa.
