This week, KinKi Kids topped the Combined Single chart with their new single “Amazing Love”, with 235,744 points in its first week.
SEVENTEEN topped the Combined Album chart with their re-package album “SECTOR 17”, with 219,324 points in its second week.
FRIDAY has revealed that Issei Takahashi and Marie Iitoyo are dating! The two were co-stars in the NHK mini-series “Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe” that aired at the end of both 2020 and 2021.
After teasing fans with a cryptic video on YouTube on August 3, today Snow Man released a music video for a new song, “JUICY.”
But what is this new song for? A new single? A new album? Who knows!
The video, which was choreographed by Hikaru Iwamoto, features the group in an Oriental-themed nightclub setting.

On August 3, mitsume will release their new album, “mitsume Live ‘Recording’.” This album was record at the concert of the same name that the band held this past February at Tokyo’s Otemachi Mitsui Hall.
To record the album, mitsume brought the console that they use in the recording studio to the venue. They recorded then recorded a mixture of old and new songs as they normally do in the studio, and then overlayed additional instruments.
mitsume recently released the music video for one of the songs off the album, “number.” The song originally appeared on their 2014 album “Sasayaki.” The new version of “number” is markedly different than the original, featuring a richer sound and brighter feel. In the video, mitsume can see seen recording the song live at Otemachi Mitsui Hall. Check it out below!
On August 3, PUNPEE and BIM will release “Syonen Jidai”, a collaborative EP. The five song release includes the song “Jammin’97”, a collaboration with ZEEBRA, which was premiered on July 31 at “FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL ’22.”
In tandem with the EP’s release, PUNPEE and BIM have released an animated lyric video for the EP’s opener, “Kids Return.” The animated video mirrors the popular lofi video that are on YouTube. Check it out below!
On August 24, Hey! Say! JUMP will release their new album, “FILMUSIC!” The album’s title stems from the theme “music x movie”, with various scenes that would take place in a movie playing out in the album’s songs.
Hey! Say! JUMP is working with an array of collaborators on this album, including sumika, Maharajan, FAKE TYPE., Yama Arashi, Yuuri, Sukima Switch, and Kenmochi Hidefumi of Suiyoubi no Campanella. Each of the album’s collaborators will create a song based on a different movie genre.
“FILMUSIC!” will be released in three editions: CD+DVD / CD+Blu-ray limited edition 1, CD+DVD / CD+Blu-ray limited edition 2, and CD only regular edition. Limited edition 1 will contain the bonus track “Get Out Of My House”, the answer song to Hey! Say! JUMP’s 2013 song “Come On A My House.” The regular edition will also have its own bonus track, “Jinriki Hikoki”, which was written by Akimoto Yasushi and composed by Makaino Koji.
Ahead of the album’s release, Hey! Say! JUMP has released the music video for one of its new songs, “Fate or Destiny.” The song serves as the theme song for the Fuji TV drama “Junai Dissonance”, which stars group member Yuto Nakajima. The video sees the group in an abandoned hotel and by the sea. In the hotel clips, they show an adult side by expressing feelings of loss and loneliness. Check it out below!
On March 27, Travis Japan competed in the “World of Dance Orange County.” This competition took place a day after they arrived In Los Angeles for their training period. In addition to winning the Best Costume and Crowd Favorite Specialty Awards, the group also placed third overall, allowing them to continue onto “World of Dance Championship Week 2022.”
“World of Dance Championship Week 2022” took place July 29 – 31. On the first day, Travis Japan, in the USA Team Division, won the Best Costume Specialty Award, and placed fourth overall, allowing them to continue in the competition. The second day, in the Team Division, they won the Crowd Favorite Specialty Award, and placed ninth overall, allowing them to continue to the next round. The final day, the group won the Ultimate Crowd Favorite Specialty Award in the World Finals.

Last September, Masaki Aiba announced his marriage on the same day as his Arashi groupmate Sho Sakurai. He’s been busy with work since then, but finally got to go on his honeymoon recently.
He was spotted by a tourist at a luxury resort in Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii, with a woman who appears to be his wife. The couple were all smiles.
According to an acquaintance of Masaki’s, he has wanted to go on a honeymoon to Hawaii with his non-celebrity wife. During their decade together, the two have have rarely went out together. Masaki’s now-wife has always understood his career and the supportive role she must play in it, by doing things such as eating and spending time together at home. This nearly week-long trip to Hawaii served as a thank you to her and a reward to himself for his hard work.
