As announced previously, Haruma Miura will posthumously release his 2nd single “Night Diver“. Originally planned for release sometime in the Fall, the final release date was readjusted to August 26th, due to his tragic death.
Miura’s talent as a “triple threat” is on full display in the MV, as it fully showcases an intense choreography routine. For the choreography Miura worked with Kensuke from the popular Japanese dance troupe BFQ.
The song was initially planned to be premiered on a special SP edition of Music Station, airing on Friday July 24th. In response to the change of plan, Music Station uploaded a heart warming message of support for Miura where his name should have been in the list of performers for the episode.

Ayumi Hamasaki has announced the release of a brand new single! “Dreamed a Dream” will be released digitally on July 31st, the single will be produced by Tetsuya Komuro. Despite “retiring”, after laying low for a bit Komuro is back in full force, as he is also producing a new song for Nogizaka46.
“Dreamed a Dream” is Ayu’s 2nd digital single of the year. Two new videos were uploaded on Ayu’s official YouTube page previewing the track. An acapella preview of the song, along with a version just with chords. Listen to them below!
This month on the download side, one song from this year was certified Million for selling 1,000,000 copies: Official HIGE DANdism‘s “I LOVE…”
On the streaming side, one song from this year was certified Silver for reaching 30,000,000 streams: Uru‘s “Anata ga Iru Koto de.”
Arashi has released a brand new digital single called “IN THE SUMMER“! Produced by Rami Yacoub, the up-beat track has officially been described as the “perfect summer song”. Showing off the beauty of nature, the MV was shot on a beach with crystal clear blue water and vast amounts of greenery.

Japan’s empress Ayumi Hamasaki has released a brand new MV for her latest single “Ohia no Ki“! A mysterious announcement was made on her official Twitter page last night teasing something new.
“Ohia no Ki” was released back on July 5th, 2020. It’s the very first time she’s used a Japanese title for a single name. For the track Ayu worked with Kazuhito Kikuchi, known for helping with her beloved songs “Who…” and “appears”.
Johnny’s group SixTONES is well on their way to becoming one of the agency’s top acts. In just two days according to Oricon their second single “NAVIGATOR” has sold over 515k copies! On day one they sold 423k units, while on day two they managed to sell 95k units.
They are already showing an improvement from their wildly successful debut. Their first single “Imitation Rain / DD” came out in January 2020, and was released with the other newly debuted Johnny’s group Snow Man. The pre-sales for only “Imitation Rain” were around 380k.
NONA REEVES and Tower Records recently teamed up to create a new label, daydream park. The first release on this new label will be “Funkvision”, the second solo album by NONA REEVES’ frontman, Nishidera Gota. Out July 22, this is Gota’s first solo album since 2014’s “Temple St.”
“Funkvision” was created while stay at home orders where in effect due to COVID-19, at Gota’s GOTOWN STUDIO. A number of other musicians worked on the album, including Hayasi Koji of TRICERATOPS and SANABAGUN.‘s Obayashi Ryozo.
Gota’s new album also includes a cover of Michael Jackson‘s P.Y.T. (PrettyYoungThing) and Prince‘s “When 2 R In Love.”

Girl group Nogizaka46 has released a teaser for their highly anticipated MV for their latest track “Route 246“. The song was both written and produced by formerly retired legend Tetsuya Komuro, this will be his first produced song for the group.
Filming for the MV took place in early July, the two location spots were the Osanbashi Pier in Yokohama, and Kanagawa. As COVID-19 is still rampant, management purposely chose an area with a very wide space for the MV. Masks and face shields were also readily available for staff, talent, and everyone else on the shoot.
