CREAM release PV for new song “STAY”

Pop/Hip hop duo CREAM dropped their new single “STAY” back on September 17th and have finally released the video to their official YouTube channel. The song is included on their new mix cd “SUMMER MIX 2014” which is available exclusively in TSUTAYA Rental stores nationwide and also available on iTunes.

“STAY” was produced and written by Staxx T with music by Minami and Hisashi Nawata. Filming for the video ended back on September 17th with clothes on loan from the JOYRICH x PLAYBOY Fall / Winter ’14 collaboration line that was launched last week.

On the group’s official Facebook, CREAM commented, “Don’t forget to share this video with that special someone, you can’t stop thinking about ;)“.

GReeeeN provide new song for “Hokkaido Kome RICE” CMs

Dentist band GReeeeN has been chosen to provide their new song “Meshi I GOT IT ↑↑” for a new round of ‘Hokkaido Kome RICE‘ CMs.

GreeeeN created this song to convey the important role that rice has in the typical Japanese diet. Of course their relevance played a part in choosing them to take part in this campaign, but in fact, band members HIDE and navi live in Hokkaido as well making them a good choice to promote their rice. They were given this opportunity by HOKUREN TRADING CO. to expand Hokkaido-based rice sales and show the local charm.

The ‘Hokkaido Kome RICE’ CMs were published on YouTube and are currently available in two versions: 30 seconds and 50 seconds. The commercials have begun airing on select Hokkaido-based stations, but they are already scheduled for a nationwide airing starting October 1st.

plenty to release new mini-album “Sora kara Furu Ichioku no Hoshi”

Following the addition of new drummer Itta Nakamura, alternative rock band plenty have revealed that they’re going to be releasing a new mini-album on November 5th.  ‘Sora kara Furu Ichioku no Hoshi’ will be the band’s first release of new material since their triple A-side single ‘Korekara / Sensei no Susume / good bye’ dropped this past January.

The mini-album will consist of 7 tracks, including the previously revealed ‘Tegami’, which we reported on earlier this year.  In support of the release, plenty will be embarking on their ‘plenty 2014-nen Fuyu One Man Tour’, which is set to take them to clubs and live houses all over Japan during the months of November and December.

Another Johnny’s dating scandal has arisen! This scandal involves popular Kanjani8 member Okura Tadayoshi and Serina, who was once a member of idol group SDN48. Serina was reportedly seen leaving Okura’s apartment after an overnight date.

Mai Kuraki to sing theme for Detective Conan’s 20th Anniversary Special

Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine has announced that Mai Kuraki will provide her new song “Dynamite” as the opening theme for Detective Conan 20th Anniversary Special.

Detective Conan (known abroad as Case Closed for legal reasons) is a long running manga and anime series run in the previously mentioned Weekly Shonen Sunday about a high school detective who helps the police solve cases. With over 85 manga volumes and 753 episodes of the anime since the mid 90s, Detective Conan‘s impact is immense, with Kuraki playing a part in the series history as a prominent theme singer.

Tomomi Itano to release new single and live video

Swag enthusiast Tomomi Itano is set to release a brand new single and her very first solo live video.

The single, still untitled, will be her 6th release and has been described as a “party anthem”. Three different versions of the single have been listed on various online stores. Limited edition A comes with a bonus DVD, limited edition B comes with “special goods”, and the regular edition has an application card. Just like her precious singles each version will have different b-sides.

Tomomi will also be releasing a DVD and blu-ray of her very first concert tour, which was held to commemorate the release of her debut studio album. Tentatively titled “Live Tour SxWxAxG”, both the single and live concert will be released December 17th.

DIVA release short version of final single “DISCOVERY”

Dance & vocal unit DiVA return after two and a half years of inactivity with a brand new song “DISCOVERY” from legendary producer Tetsuya Komuro.

Last month when the single was announced, it was revealed the group would change their name from DiVA to DIVA, release a single, an album, hold a live and finally disband officially.

Conceived as AKB48′s “first-ever” dance & vocal unit, DiVA debuted under avex trax with ‘Tsuki no Uragawa’ in 2011 with Sayaka Akimoto, Sae Miyazawa, Ayaka Umeda and Yuka Masuda. An additional six members were added and the group released two more singles until they went inactive in 2012. Former member Yuka Masuda left in 2013 but will return for this single, confirming all 10 members are to take part in this single.

Live Monster for September 28

This week’s episode of Live Monster featured Chisato Moritaka along with tofubeats. They performed “La La Sunshine”, “Watashi ga Obasan ni Natte mo”, and “Don’t Stop The Music.” They were interviewed as well. Check out the show after the jump!
