Saoriiiii, the electro-pop soloist formerly known as Saori@destiny (who had an artist feature written about her last month!), recently released a free download for a new song titled “Ukiyo Disco”. The track is available with Japanese lyrics on her official website.
Additionally, the singer debuted an official YouTube channel that currently hosts previews of her tracks “3cm Distance” (available in all iTunes stores and Amazon MP3) and live-only “runaway?”, as well as a second newly revealed full song titled “plan”. Check it out below the jump!
Shiori Tomita will be releasing her debut album “If World” on February 18th. Shiori recently gained some notoriety after her latest single “Dame Dame Da” was used as the 31st ending to Naruto Shippuden.
The covers of the album are a homage to her debut self-titled mini album, both covers use the same font and the overalls are back, which has started to become a staple in her wardrobe. The album was produced with the help of Ai Otsuka and indie rocker SUNEOHAIR. The full tracklist hasn’t been finalized yet but “MONSTER GIRL” and “Yearbook” have been confirmed as new songs, her previous four singles will also all appear on the album.
Shiori has also announced a second annual birthday live on February 1st at the Yokohama Bay Hall. Tickets for her first live quickly sold out, and with her 1st album on the way demand is expected to be even higher this time around. 2015 is shaping up to be an exciting year for this rising star.

This question is answered thanks to a brand new “voiceover” trailer released by Square Enix. The trailer was originally released for the Tokyo Game Show held in September, but in this “new” one we can hear the English language voice-actors for the first time. Reception for the voice acting has been mixed so far.
Final Fantasy XV is currently being developed for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A demo for the game will be included on Final Fantasy Type -0 HD, due out March 2015. Check out the trailer below!
Japanese film studio Toho is producing a new “Godzilla” for 2016, 12 years after “Godzilla: Final Wars”, the last Toho Godzilla film. This comes after the success of Gareth Edward’s 2014 “Godzilla,” which earned $525 million worldwide and JPY3.2 billion ($26 million) in Japan, with Toho and Warner Bros. Japan co-distributing.
Production is set to begin in the summer of 2015 and scheduled to be shown 2016, two years ahead of Edwards’ next Legendary Godzilla film due 2018. Budget, cast and director have yet to be decided. The film will be aimed at the global market.

As was reported previously, alternative rock band FOLKS are going to be releasing a new, winter-themed mini-album titled “SNOWTOWN” on February 25th. Now, the band have revealed the full PV for the album’s lead track “Fuyu no Himawari”, which was produced by Sunahara Yoshinori, a former member of famous techno group Denki Groove.
The music video combines photos of Hokkaido’s winter scenery taken by famed photographer Ota Koji with footage of Sapporo-based model Nagao Shizune in what appears to be a field of the eponymous “winter sunflowers” and later watching a fireworks display.

It has been announced on 12/13 at Nogizaka46’s Christmas concert in Tokyo Ariake Coliseum, that their 3rd anniversary concert will be held in Seibu Dome. The girls were ecstatic with disbelieve respond from their Captain Reika Sakurai. Also, there were comments on how cold Seibu Dome on February 22, 2015. More detail will be announced later.
The event where the dome concert announced, Nogizaka46’s Merry Xmas Show 2014, was held in 3 days with “Under Girls” only show on day 1. On the last day, they also announced to release their 1st documentary in 2015. It will include “behind the scene” for 3 years from 2011, Rina Ikoma and Rena Matsui concurrency, also the scene where they failed to get invited to Kouhaku Uta Gassen.

As we reported previously, in celebration of Digimon’s 15th anniversary as a franchise, a revival for its ‘Digimon Adventure’ sub-series was announced and set to air in Spring 2015. Now, studio Toei Animation has revealed further details about the show, including its title and the keynote visual for the project.
The new series is to be titled ‘Digimon Adventure tri.’ and will follow the adventures of the original 8 Digidestined now that they have grown up and entered high school. Toei also confirmed several key staff positions, with the show set to be directed by Motonaga Keitarou (Jormungand, Ginga Kikoutai Majestic Prince, Rayearth) and its script supervised by Kakihara Yuuko (Chihayafuru 2, Sakamichi no Apollon, Sora no Otoshimono).
