BiSH drop new album in secret, film MV in California

BiSH, the idol group billed as “the punk band without instruments”, shocked their fans by releasing their new album THE GUERRiLLA BiSH today without warning, four weeks in advance of the official release date. Customers at Tower Records stores across Japan were surprised to see the new album on the shelves, available for just ¥299 (roughly $2.60), and supplies sold out within hours.

Released without a booklet or a cover art in a style reminiscent of Kanye West’s Yeezus, the secret edition of the album is only available on the 4th and 5th of this month – and fans who weren’t able to get a copy in time will have to wait until the 29th to buy it.

The album’s lead track, “My landscape”, was also posted to YouTube today.

Filmed at the Airplane Graveyard in Mojave, California, the shoot marks BiSH’s first time overseas as a group. The song is filled with references to famous manga series BANANA FISH, and BiSH hope that the song will be used for the upcoming anime adaptation:

…AND staying Japan-ONLY, as per AVEX’s export ban.

where are you seeing it blocked? Both Amazon.co.jp and CDJapan show that it can be exported

      • hhhh

They even released it on iTunes internationally as well. I’m pretty sure the export ban just applies to Avex Pictures’ anime DVDs, and it simply wasn’t properly explained to / implemented by retailers within the first month or two of its introduction.

I actually like “My Landscape” after hearing a few times.

    • This is a pretty solid track, I like it.
