the dresscodes celebrate the End of All Things in “Jazz” Short Film

This week the dresscodesRyohei Shima’s solo project – released their sixth studio album “Jazz“. In conjunction with this release, two parts of a promotional short film titled “THE END OF THE WORLD PARTY” have been uploaded to the dresscodes’ YouTube channel.

“THE END OF THE WORLD PARTY” is the brainchild of both Shima and director Julien Levy, the latter of whom wrote the original screenplay and directed the project. As the name suggests, the film gives a snapshot of a world where things come to an end not with a bang, but with a whimper – so why not have a party to send it off?

The project stars actresses Shuri and Yuuka Kouri, as well as Shima himself, and features a number of tracks from the latter’s new record as its soundtrack. Between the two parts, album opener “Dead End”, ” Eli, Eli, Lema Sabachthani?”, “Chill-teru”, “Cargo Cult”, and “Wara no Inu” are all previewed.

Model Koki has continued to cement her status in the industry, this time she’s been profiled by the prestigious Vogue Japan. The iconic magazine flew Koki out to Rome, Italy just for the photoshoot!

Rome is the home of Bulgari,the high-end jewerly brand whom Koki is an official ambassador for. Filming was helped arranged by Bulgari HQ, and of course she was draped in their luxurious jewelry for the photoshoot.

HYDE to provide theme for “Kamen Dosokai” starring Junpei Mizobata

Rock legend HYDE is starting off the Reiwa era with a bang thanks to the release of his brand new solo song.

His upcoming track “ANOTHER MOMENT” has been selected to be the main theme song for the upcoming Fuji TV drama series “Kamen Dosokai“. The drama will begin airing nationwide all across Japan beginning on June 1st, 2018.

Former founding AKB48 member Minami Takahashi got married, her agency said on Thursday.

Takahashi spoke about her marriage via her Tokyo FM radio show “Takahashi Minami no Kore Kara, Nani Suru?“, revealing that she and her husband submitted their marriage registration on the first day of Reiwa era.

AKS files lawsuit against two men who assaulted NGT48’s Maho Yamaguchi

AKS has filed a lawsuit on April 30 against the two perpetrators over the assault on NGT48 member Yamaguchi Maho that took place late last year,
Sponichi reports.

It is purported that the goal of this lawsuit is to clarify the details of the incident in a court setting, as the have perpetrators previously refused to participate in the investigation by the third-party committee organized by AKS (the same third-party committee that concluded that no NGT48 members were involved with the assault).

A group to compete on a global level!

Upcoming 7-member dance, vocal and MC unit BALLISTIK BOYZ—consisting of Ryuta, Yoshiyuki, Ryusei, Miku, Rikiya, Riki, Masahiro—is set to make their major debut later this month on May 22 with the release of a self-titled album.

BALLISTIK BOYZ make way to the scene under the management of LDH, the company known for popular supergroups such as E-Girls and Exile Tribe, the latter of which the group will join upon debut.

Although their company is known for groups in which members take on the role of either vocalist or performer, this debut marks a change; for the first time in Exile Tribe history, each member of BALLISTIK BOYZ will take the stage with microphone in hand, delivering both vocals and dance as a group.

ARAMA! JAPAN had the opportunity to speak with the group ahead of their major debut to learn more about their journey as performers, what sets them apart from other groups on the scene, and their plans to cultivate and lead a new generation of Japanese artists.

This week, Last Idol topped the Hot 100 single chart with their new single “Otona Survivor.”

Nogizaka46 topped the Hot Albums chart with their new album “Ima ga Omoide ni Naru Made.”

Aimyon topped the Streaming Songs chart for the 16th consecutive week with her single “Marigold.”

Aimyon also topped the Download Songs chart with her single “Haru no Hi.”

THE YELLOW MONKEY topped the Download Albums chart with their new album “9999.”
