Rapper Yayoi Daimon‘s new release “#KETSUFURE” shakes up the status quo and has amassed more than 20,000 likes on Twitter in the past few days. Some may say it’s for less than desirable reasons (one of those reasons being cultural appropriation call outs), but attention’s attention.
The twerk anthem from the self-identified Feminist Dance Hall Queen implores Grandma, Grandpa, and all the other party animals to join in and “Twerk Dat A**” in whichever direction wherever they may be, whether it be on the train or at the local FamilyMart.
The music video kindly offers close captioning in both Japanese and English to further spread Yayoi Daimon’s message around the world.
It was reported on the 23rd that a suspected stalker of Hey! Say! JUMP’s Nakajima Yuto, a woman in her 20s living in Tokyo, was arrested. Johnny’s office acknowledged the information reported.
Johnny & Associates official YouTube channel was launched at 5pm on July 23. According to its channel info, “Johnny’s office talent’s and appearances will be introduced.”
It is still unclear what specific content the newly launched channel will have or how it will be different from the existing Johnnys Jr Youtube channel, but fans were anticipating debuted groups will be included as it is an official Youtube of the Johnnys office.

It has been announced that the very popular AKB48 and SKE48 member Jurina Matsui will be making her official solo debut! Instead of a single, fans will be in for a treat as she will releasing a full length studio album.
Titled “Privacy” a specific release date has still yet to be determined, but it will come out in 2019. Nine songs are expected to be included on the album, with Jurina herself providing the lyrics to all of the tracks. The announcement was made on the streaming service “Showroom”
On August 21, CHEMISTRY will release their 38th single, “Angel / Still Walking.” The first A-side is the theme song for the Tokai TV / Fuji TV drama “Sorezore no Dangai.” This marks the first time in about a decade that CHEMISTRY has been in charge of a drama theme. “Angel / Still Walking” will be released in two editions, a CD only version and a 7-inch vinyl version.
CHEMISTRY visited the set of “Sorezore no Dangai”, where they met the drama’s star, Endo Kenichi. During the meeting, Kenichi revealed that he watched CHEMISTRY’s formation on ASAYAN. He also appears in the music video for “Angel”, which can be found below along with more information on the single.
In further CHEMISTRY news, the duo will release their new self-titled album on September 25. This is their first album since January 2012’s “Trinity.”
To conclude their fairly busy year, punk rockers WANIMA have announced that they will be releasing a new full-length album titled “COMINATCHA!!” on October 23rd. This record comes nearly two years after the release of their major debut album “Everybody!!” and will be released in two different versions, with the Limited Edition to come packaged with a DVD – the “1CHANCE DISK” – photo booklet, and a special red case.
“COMINATCHA!!” is set to include the group’s previously released tracks “Drive”, “Again”, “Nagisa no Utakata”, “Natsu no Dokoka e”, and “GONG”, a self-cover of “Koko ni”, which they provided to idol group Kanjani8, and nine new songs for a total of 15. In conjunction with this reveal, the trio have uploaded an album trailer which previews new tracks “JOY” and “Sha La La” to their YouTube channel.

It’s been announced that popular mixture rock band King Gnu have been tapped to provide the next CM song for confectionery brand Bourbon Alfort. The commercial stars actor Kentaro Sakaguchi and makes use of advanced projection technology in order to create an enthralling experience.
This reveal comes hot on the heels of the release of King Gnu’s recent digital single “Hikoutei”, an upbeat tune meant to match the summer season. By contrast, the CM track – “Kasa” – mixes jazz and electronic influences to produce a mid-tempo song more suited to autumn.
