Late last year rock duo INABA / SALAS announced that they would both be touring in 2020 and to expect the release of new material to coincide with said tour. Today, the pair finally confirmed that they will be releasing their second studio album – titled “Maximum Huavo” – next month on April 15th.

“Maximum Huavo” will include 12 new songs which range from poppy and danceable to significantly more mellow. The record is currently set to be released in four versions, including a CD+T-Shirt bundle and either a DVD or Blu-ray which contains footage from the duo’s February 2017 live at Zepp Tokyo.

Earlier this month, we reported that singer/songwriter Shingo Kanehiro would be releasing his debut solo album “Hajimari no Uta” on March 18th. Since then, Kanehiro has uploaded the PV for the longplay’s second track “Nyx” – also the second of six such videos – to his YouTube channel.

Like the video for opener “Kimi wa Dou?”, the PV focuses on the artwork of Kazutoshi Nakagawa, this time utilizing both pencils and paint. By the clip’s conclusion, a gorgeously stylized representation of the night sky dominates the screen.

Back in February, alternative rock quartet THE YELLOW MONKEY announced that they would be releasing a new digital single titled “Mirai wa Minaide” on March 13th. Now that this date has arrived, the track’s music video has been uploaded to the band’s YouTube channel.

The clip pairs a series of hopeful scenes with shots of the group performing the song amidst the morning mist. Of note, “Mirai wa Minaide” was intended to be the first track the band released following their reformation, but was ultimately shelved in favor of “Alright”.

On March 11, SASUKE will release a new digital single titled “Kibou no Teiri ~I’ll take your wish~.” The song written for his high school, Kadokawa Dwango Gakuen N Koto Gakkou. The school deals heavily with the internet and telecommunications, and the song plays into that. Some of SASUKE’s classmates are also featured on the song. Check out its video below!

Official HIGE DANdism topped the Streaming Songs chart for the third consecutive week with their single “I LOVE…”

Fling Posse topped the Download Albums chart with their debut mini album “Fling Posse Before The 2nd D.R.B-.”

Back in January we reported that singer/songwriter TK from Ling Tosite Sigure would be releasing his fourth full-length album this spring. It has since been confirmed that this longplay, titled “Sainou”, will be released on April 15th.

“Sainou” will include new mixes of TK’s previously released tracks “katharsis”, “melt”, “moving on”, “Chou no Tobu Suisou”, “memento”, and “P.S. RED I”, as well as seven new songs for a total of 13. Of note, the jacket artwork for the album was drawn by mangaka Sui Ishida, known primarily for Tokyo Ghoul.

Earlier this year cero frontman Shohei Takagi announced that he would be starting a solo project under the name Shohei Takagi Parallela Botanica. The outfit will be releasing its first studio album – titled “Triptych” – next month on April 8th.

“Triptych” will include nine songs, split into a trio of three song series, and feature jacket artwork by Tatsuya Hirota and Yuji Kamiyama. The record’s Limited Edition will come packaged with a DVD containing both an interview and a gig performance.

Late last year, electronic rock band Newspeak released their first full-length album “No Man’s Empire“. Now, as they wrap up promotion for the record, they have chosen to publish a music video for its closing track “See You Again” to their YouTube channel.

The clip, directed by Raita Kuramoto, takes advantage of the starkness of the wintertime woods to convey a dramatic story of loss. It stars both the group’s singer Rei and actor Shinzo Hotta as they long to see a loved one – played by actress Risa Nishimura – a final time.
