It has been announced that Shun Oguri will be leading a brand new TBS drama series titled “Japan Sinks: People of Hope” (Nihon Chinbotsu: Kibo no Hito). Rounding out the cast is Kenichi Matsuyama, Toru Nakamura, Teruyuki Kagawa, and Anne Watanabe! This will be Watanabe’s first acting role since her news broke of her husband’s highly publicized cheating scandal.

The drama takes place in 2023, where Japan is at the center of an environmental crisis. The sea floor under Japan is cracking which puts parts of the country in danger of being completely flooded. Oguri plays the role of Keishi Amami, who works for the environment ministry.

Hello!Project group ANGERME is back with a surprise collaboration! The girls are teaming up with dental brand Ora2! ANGERME hopes make your daily routine a little more exciting and positive with the cute and colorful aura toothbrush line.

Ora2 is known for their bright, and colorful packaging offering multiple products for dental hygiene. These include toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, mouth spray, and travel sets. This is reflected in the colorful collaboration MV for “SHAKA SHAKA TO LOVE“.

Each girl is dressed in a different color as they sing about the joys of using a toothbrush, the “shaka shaka” is meant to replicate the sound of brushing. Check out the full MV below:

This week pop-rock band GOOD BYE APRIL released their third studio album “Xanadu” on November 25th. “Xanadu” marks the group’s first new record since 2018’s “Tanin Ryokou” and was heavily inspired by the music of Japan’s 80s.

In conjunction with this release, a music video for the album’s lead track “Koi ga Hajimaru” has also been uploaded to their label’s YouTube channel. The PV, directed by Shin Ishihara, focuses on a couple going through the early throes of love.

Ryohu of KANDYTOWN recently signed to Victor Entertainment’s SPEEDSTAR RECORDS. On November 25, he will release his major debut album, fittingly titled “DEBUT.”

The album will include his major debut digital single, “The Moment”, which was produced by Tomita Keiichi (Tomita Lab). It will also feature collaborations with TENDRE, AAAMYYY, starRo, Giorgio Blaise Givvn, and WONK‘s Arata Hikaru.

“DEBUT” will be released in a 2CD limited edition and a CD only regular edition. The second CD of the limited edition is an EP titled “Collage.” Each of the three songs on the EP samples a song from SPEEDSTAR RECORDS’s discography. “Flower” samples Quruli‘s “Bara no Hana”, “Thread” samples LOVE PSYCHEDELICO‘s “LADY MADONNA ~Yuuutsu Naru Spider~”, and “Cloud” samples FLYING KIDS‘ “Shiawase de Aru You ni.”

On November 25, Tamaki ROY will release his new album, “Anyways.” This is his first album since June 2017’s “Nagi.” The album is an entirely self-produced work, with all lyrics and music by Tamaki ROY.

Since August, Tamaki ROY has released a series of digital singles: “Protect You”, “Noh”, “Flowers”, “Izumi-Chuo Eki”, and “Rothko.” All five of these digital singles will appear on “Anyways.” The music videos for these digital singles are all posted below.

In addition, Tamaki ROY has created a playlist on Apple Music and Spotify of music that he’s been enjoying recently, titled “in any case.” He regularly updated this playlist. Check it out below, along with more information on his new album!

On November 25, JO1 will release their debut album, “The STAR.” The album is being released in four versions: a CD+DVD Red Limited Edition, CD+Photobook Green Limited Edition, CD+Accordion Card Green Limited Edition, and a CD+Poster Regular Edition. The limited editions will contain 15 songs, while the regular edition will contain 19 songs. Most of the songs on the album have been previously released on the group’s two singles.

JO1 recently released the music video for one of the album’s new songs “Shine A Light.” They also released a performance video for the song, as well as one for another new album track, “Safety Zone.” Check out the videos below, along with more information on JO1’s debut album!
