The Recording Industry Association of Japan has announced the winners of this year’s edition of “The Japan Gold Disc Award.” These awards are based on sales from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021. Snow Man won Artist of the Year in the Japanese category. They also won awards for Album of the Year, Best 5 Albums (Japanese), Single of the Year, Best 5 Singles (two awards), and Best 3 Music Videos.
Yuuri won New Artist of the Year, along with Best 5 New Artists (Japanese). Other winners in the latter category were INI, Ado, Naniwa Danshi, and BE:FIRST.
