Actor Masataka Kubota has been selected to appear in a brand new set of CMS for Sapporo Beer’s “#NoBitterLife” campaign. The CMS began airing nationwide all across Japan beginning over the weekend.

The CM directly ties in to a music video from the band Friends, which uses footage from the MV itself. The MV for #NoBitterLife takes place at a house party, Kubota shows up right when the party is at full swing.

He’s quickly handed a beer and partakes/watches the usual party activities. Drinking, dancing, eating, professional wrestling, it’s all there! The MV features a bunch of celebrity cameo appearances, try to spot them all.

This week’s episode features Yumi Matsutoya. She is currently celebrating her 45th anniversary and this episode looks back on her career over the years.

Earlier this year it was announced that Daisuke Suzuki and Keisuke Hiya‘s crime manga ‘Gangoose’ had been picked up for a live-action film adaptation. On March 11, the supporting cast was revealed.

Director Yu Irie, the man behind such films as ‘Joker Game’ and ‘Vigilante’, pilots the story that focuses on three young men (Ryo Kato, Mahiro Takasugi and Daichi Watanabe), who spent their childhood in a youth detention center. In order to survive in the world, they resort to fighting crime – with crime. Yu Irie and Kiyoto Wada have co-penned the screenplay.

The rumor turned out to be true. Shibutani Subaru will in fact be leaving Kanjani8 and Johnny & Associates. In a statement to fan club members, he said that he was leaving to learn more about music and to progress as a musician, including going overseas to study music. The remaining members of Kanjani8 said in their statements that they respect his decision.

Subaru will not be part of Kanjani8’s dome tour this summer. His time with Johnny & Associates will end on December 31.

Previously it was announced on January 31st that first generation Nogizaka46 member Rina Ikoma would be graduating from the group.

Her final release will be the groups 20th single Synchronicity, due out on April 25th 2018. Ikoma was selected as center for the singles primary b-side, titled Against.

Against is an up-beat dance song, with a quite unique MV. The camera constantly moves showing the members in various rooms. Decked out in the latest fashions, they dance with perfect unison to the song’s choreography.

Ikoma’s graduation will take place on April 22nd, 2018 at Nippon Budokan.
