Nissy (Takahiro Nishijima) successfully completes Tokyo Dome concert

Singer Nissy recently held the finale of his tour “Nissy Entertainment 2nd LIVE”, at Tokyo Dome!

In 2005 Nissy debuted with the group AAA, after dabbling in acting he made his solo debut in 2014 with the single Doushiyouka? He’s gone on to release 8 singles and 2 studio albums.

His fans definitely weren’t disappointed with the Tokyo Dome show, Nissy and his team pulled out all the stops. While performing the track Koisu Hada impressive magic tricks involving string dazzled the audience.

Kamenashi Kazuya wins PRIME magazine’s most liked Johnnys, no one wins most disliked!

Earlier in the week PRIME Magazine released the results for their annual most liked and most disliked talents from Johnny & Associates.

Over the years it has became quite a topic among Johnny fans, thousands of fans take part in the survey.

This year KAT-TUN member Kamenashi Kazuya has won the coveted prize of most beloved Johnny’s talent, last year he also came in first place making him a rare consecutive winner. 

Otogivanashi to release New Album “Nagame” in June

Alternative rock band Otogivanashi have revealed that they will be releasing a brand new studio album, their first since 2016’s “ISLAY”, on June 6th.  Titled “Nagame”, the record will include 11 songs from the band and will be co-produced by SALON MUSIC’s Jin Yoshida.

Well ahead of the album’s release date, the group have uploaded the music video for its lead track “Kirei” to their label’s Youtube channel.  Directed by Tsugumi Matsunaga, the PV stars model Ayaka Nakata and pairs the dreamy track with a series of washed out and over-saturated visuals.

Kenta Maeno wanders the world in his Music Video for “Ima no Jidai ga Ichiban Ii yo”

Back in early February, we reported that folk-rock singer Kenta Maeno would be releasing a brand new studio album titled “Sakura” on April 25th.  Now that this date has finally arrived, Maeno has published the PV for its lead track “Ima no Jidai ga Ichiban Ii yo” to his label’s Youtube channel.

Directed by Pennacky, this PV focuses on Maeno traveling between various picturesque locales and interacting with people from the current generation.  Of note, the version of the song included with this clip was both arranged and produced by cero’s Yu Arauchi, the lush instrumental emblematic of his own style.

LAMP IN TERREN unveil Music Video for the funky “New Clothes”

Rock band LAMP IN TERREN recently announced that they will be going on a brief hiatus while singer Hiroshi Matsumoto undergoes vocal polyp surgery.  Before they go on break, however, the group have decided to release one last music video for their latest song – “New Clothes”.

This PV was directed by Yuuki Wakisaka and features Matsumoto wandering through an abandoned warehouse before he joins the rest of the band at the track’s conclusion.  The song itself is based on the English phrase “The Emperor’s New Clothes”, with the video meant to represent Matsumoto’s current conflict and the steps he went through to emotionally prepare himself.

CRAZYBOY (JSB’s ELLY) teams up with THE BACKCOURT for “LOCO” MV

CRAZYBOY, aka J Soul Brothers member ELLY has released the MV for his brand new song LOCO

The song serves as the primary promotional track from his digital E.P NEOTOKYO IV. This is his 4th entry in his “NeoTokyo” set of E.Ps, and is also his 4th solo E.P overall. It will contain four song in total.

PRIVATE PARTY, U.N.I., and a remix of  Double Play featuring EXILE SHOKICHI round out the rest of the tracklist.

LOCO is a “chill” modern R&B song, the main aesthetic of the MV is white. The dancers and ELLY himself are all adorned in fashionable streetwear while doing a smooth choreography routine.

NEOTOKYO IV will be released tomorrow on April 27th, 2018. 

Ziyoou-vachi to Release New Single “HALF”

On April 25, Ziyoou-vachi will release their new single, “HALF.” The song serves as the ending theme for the Tokyo MX anime series “Tokyo Ghoul: re.” “HALF” marks the first time that Ziyoou-vachi  has been in charge of an anime theme.

The single will come in a limited edition and a regular edition. The limited edition will feature a booklet containing manga created by Ziyoou-vachi’s leader Avu-chan. The regular edition’s cover will feature a drawing of Avu-chan created by Ishida Sui, the creator of “Tokyo Ghoul.”

SANABAGUN. to Release New Album “OCTAVE”

On April 25, SANABAGUN. will release their third album, “OCTAVE.” This album is their first album since July 2016’s “Danger.”

“OCTAVE” has 16 tracks, including the song “FLASH”, which has gained buzz through the band’s live performances of it. This new album is the one that the eight members of SANABAGUN. have put the most effort into.

This group effort carries on to the album’s title, since an octave is the eight notes of a musical scale. The cover for “OCTAVE” also shows SANABAGUN.’s group effort, with each member’s hand being represented.
