Earlier in the week PRIME Magazine released the results for their annual most liked and most disliked talents from Johnny & Associates.
Over the years it has became quite a topic among Johnny fans, thousands of fans take part in the survey.
This year KAT-TUN member Kamenashi Kazuya has won the coveted prize of most beloved Johnny’s talent, last year he also came in first place making him a rare consecutive winner.
Kazuya seemed to have won the hearts of many fans after all the issues that KAT-TUN have been through. There was a lot of ruckus when previous member Junnosuke Taguchi withdrew from the group, and ended up debuting solo under Universal Japan shortly after.
Koki Tanaka also made headlines recently due to his marijuana scandal, despite not officially being charged many Japanese gossip magazines continued to drag KAT-TUN’s name through the mud calling them a “cursed group”.
Kazuya, along with Ueda Tatsuya and Yuichi Nakamaru, held their head up high and continued with activities as a 3 piece unit.
Many voters commented about his good looks of course, and humble attitude. One voter in her late 50s in particular stated that even though a lot of his fans tend to be older women like herself, she loves seeing the increased diversity within his growing fanbase.
“He respects his co-stars, staff, and fans. Regardless of age or sex, those who are exposed to him will no doubt take a liking to him”.
Second place goes to Tomohisa Yamashita, he also came in second last year. Many are transfixed with his acting, voice, and according to a 31 year old fan:
“his existence is the beauty of a god that transcends humans”.
