Miki Imai unveils the Digest for her upcoming Album “Sky”

Back in March, we reported that celebrated singer Miki Imai would be releasing her latest studio album “Sky” on June 6th.  Now that this date has drawn closer, several videos have been uploaded to Youtube in order to promote the release.

First, the music video for lead track “Anata wa Anata no Mama de Ii”, which features a series of gorgeous landscape shots which are juxtaposed with Imai’s performance of the ballad.  More recently, the digest for the album itself was made available on Universal Music Japan’s Youtube channel, allowing fans to preview the remaining nine songs on the record.

Shiina Ringo’s music is now available on Spotify & Apple Music, announces arena tour

Shiina Ringo has made more announcements regarding her 20th anniversary! On May 27th, 1998 Ringo released her debut single titled “Koufukuron

In celebration of this milestone you can now find her catalog on the most popular music streaming services, Spotify and Apple Music. Don’t worry, it is not restricted to Japan only. She can be found tagged as “Sheena Ringo”.

All of her studio albums are available for streaming, along with other releases like her b-side compilation album, self-cover album, and a plethora of her singles. This includes her latest releases “Gyakuyunyuu ~Kouwankyoku~ Vol. 2” and the digital single “Otona no Okite”.

cinema staff and Arukara to release a Split EP in June

Rock bands cinema staff and Arukara have announced that they will be releasing a split EP together next month on June 13th.  Titled “undivided E.P.”, this special release will feature one new song from each group, a pair of covers, and a collaboration track featuring all of the members of both bands.

In support of this release, the music videos for new tracks “first song (at the terminal)” by cinema staff and “Thirsty Thirsty Thirsty Girl” by Arukara have been uploaded to the former’s Youtube channel.  Both of these PVs feature footage of each band performing their respective song, accompanied by visuals and other effects which fit their styles.

Elephant Kashimashi unveil their Short PV for the rocking “Easy Go”

Just last week we reported that rock band Elephant Kashimashi would be releasing a new album titled “Wake Up” on June 6th.  Now, in advance of this date, the group have chosen to upload the short music video for the record’s lead track “Easy Go” to their Youtube channel.

The PV was directed by Shuichi Tan and centers around the group’s energetic performance of the track, the members’ enthusiasm meant to convey the song’s positive worldview.  “Easy Go” is currently being used as the theme song for drama “Miyamoto kara Kimi e”, which tells the story of a college graduate turned salaryman who continues to work hard despite his own dissatisfaction with his lot in life.

Asako Toki to collaborate with Ohashi Trio on her New Album “SAFARI”

Nearly a year-and-a-half after the release of her previous album, singer Asako Toki has announced that she will be releasing a brand new record on May 30th.  Titled “SAFARI”, this new album sees Asako moving in a more electronic direction, supported by familiar collaborator Tomi Yo and featuring guest vocals from Ohashi Trio on the song “CAN’T STOP”.

Ahead of its release, the music video for the album’s opening track “Black Savanna” has been uploaded to her label’s Youtube channel.  The dark, ambient song is paired with a fitting series of visuals, the PV primarily focusing on scenes of construction sites and other, similar aspects of modern urban life.  In addition, a digest previewing the remainder of the record’s ten tracks has also been made available on avex’s channel.

Morning Musume ’18 announce concert in Mexico City

Good news for international fans of Hello!Project group Morning Musume 18′.

The girls have announced that they will be having a special concert in Mexico City! The announcement was made today, at a concert apart of their “Morning Musume Tanjou 20 Shuunen Kinen Concert Tour 2018 Haru ~We are MORNING MUSUME~ Final” tour.

It will take place on November 10th, 2018 at the Countess Plaza.
