Rock band Bird Bear Hare and Fish, perhaps better known as the reformed Galileo Galilei, will be releasing their second single next month on August 8th.  The lead song, titled “Laika”, has already been picked up as the latest ending theme song for the popular anime “BORUTO -NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS-“.

Well ahead of the single’s release, the group have uploaded the music video for “Laika” to their Youtube channel.  Directed by Mitch Nakano, this performance-focused PV was shot in a single cut and makes use of a series of bright lights in order to blur the figures of the band’s members.

Nearly a year after the release of his first solo single, former FOLKS frontman Fumito Iwai has uploaded a lyric video for his latest track “Ima wo Ikiru”.  Based around the theme of a new beginning, this track was originally written in the months leading up to FOLKS’ indefinite hiatus, when Iwai was struggling to express his feelings on the matter.

The lyric video was shot via the use of an iPhone and was directed and edited by Iwai himself.  Likewise, he also wrote, composed, arranged, mixed, mastered, and produced “Ima wo Ikiru” on his own, achieving an independence which has long been a goal of his.

Back in March, singer/songwriter Yuji Nakada released his latest studio album “NOBODY KNOWS”.  As his promotions for this release wind down, he has now uploaded the music video for its third track “Lotus” to his label’s Youtube channel.

This PV is based around the artwork of illustrator Chanky Matsumoto, who has created a collage of images inspired by the song’s worldview and melody.  Chanky’s cutouts are then set in front of animated backdrops created by director Masahiro Tanimoto, the result a haunting and otherworldly visual experience.

BENI recently announced that she will release a new digital single each month for the next four months. The first of this series is titled “Chasin'” and features IO of KANDYTOWN. Out July 6, the song was produced by KANDYTOWN’s Neetz. “Chasin'” sees BENI returning to a more R&B sound. Check out the cover and teaser for the song below!

Tetsuya Komuro has had a dramatic 2018 so far, with his cheating scandal, retirement from music, and return to music all taking place within a few months. Now his wife KEIKO’s family has something to say, according to Shukan Bunshun, the source to Komuro’s scandal.

The family says that Komuro and KEIKO are now separated, with KEIKO now living in Oita Prefecture with her family. Her family also says that this image of Komuro as a loving husband caring for his sick wife is a lie, seeing as how he never took care of her. They were dumbfounded by his actions during his press conference because they weren’t genuine, causing them to become angry.

In the press conference, Komuro said that KEIKO is no longer interested in music. However, she often goes to karaoke with friends.
