Two months after the release of their previous digital single, pop-rock band BUMP OF CHICKEN have chosen to suddenly release another. In support of this surprise release, the group have chosen to publish not only the music video for this track, “Sirius,” but also that of their last single “Bouen no March.”
The video for “Sirius,” which has been used as the opening theme for anime “Juushinki Pandora,” combines the use of four separate drones with CG visuals reminiscent of skyscrapers, space, and other sci-fi imagery. Bouen no March’s PV, meanwhile, makes use of rotoscope animation in order to present a scene of the band performing in a brilliant watercolor art style.
Both of these music videos can be found beneath the fold.
Alternative rockers Newspeak are gearing up for the release of their first mini-album “Out Of The Shrinking Habitat” next week on October 3rd. Following the reveal of their music video for lead track “Lake” late last month, the band have now published the PV for the record’s second promotional track “24/7 What For” to their YouTube channel.
Directed by Hiroya Brian Nakano, who also directed Lake’s MV, this video was created to pair with the song’s discussion of social media addiction. Through the use of CG and vivid colors, Newspeak attempt to convey just how unlike reality what we see on the internet can be.
You’ll find the striking PV for “24/7 What For” right after the jump.

With her career in dire straits as she nears 40, it seems as if Ayumi Hamasaki is taking a page out the playbook of another star who recently hit that age milestone. According to industry sources, Ayu will announce her retirement on October 2, her 40th birthday. This mirrors what Namie Amuro did on her 40th birthday last September.
