Singer/songwriter Nagisa Kuroki has announced that she will be releasing a new studio album titled “Lemon no Toge” on October 9th. This will be her first such release since 2015’s “Jiyuu Ritsu”, and her first since returning from hiatus.
“Lemon no Toge” will include Kuroki’s previously released tracks “Fuzaken na Sekai, Fuzakero yo”, “Kaihoku e no Tabi”, and “Hi no Tori”, plus seven new songs for a total of ten. The record will be released in three different versions, with the Limited Edition A to include a DVD containing footage from her first post-hiatus live, and the Limited Edition B to be packaged with a special comic-style essay which was hand-drawn by Kuroki herself.

Earlier this month we reported that alternative rock band Nothing’s Carved In Stone will be releasing their latest album “By Your Side” on September 25th. Well in advance of that date, the quartet have chosen to publish the music video for its opening track “Who Is” to their YouTube channel.
Directed by Shin Ishihara, this PV focuses on the group’s performance of the uptempo number, mixed with some colorful overlay effects. “Who Is” was made available for digital download on August 30th.

Roughly a year-and-a-half after the release of her previous album, “SAFARI”, pop singer Asako Toki has announced that she will be releasing a new studio record on October 2nd. The title, “PASSION BLUE”, is derived from Toki’s desire to express the contrasting feelings of melancholy and hot-blooded passion with her music.
“PASSION BLUE” sees Toki continue her collaboration with trackmaker Tomi Yo, whom has worked on both of her last two albums, and also marks the return of singer G.RINA as a guest vocalist. The record will contain ten songs in total, including lead track “Utsukushii Kao” – which will be released as a digital single on September 11th.

Rock trio Age Factory released new digital single “HIGH WAY BEACH” this week on August 30th. “HIGH WAY BEACH” is the second of three successive digital releases, following the hardcore-influenced “CLOSE EYE” and preceding the anthemic “nothing anymore” – which will feature Chiaki Sato (ex. Kinoko Teikoku) as a guest vocalist.
To coincide with the song’s release, the group have uploaded its PV to their YouTube channel. The video features the band performing the emotional track, intercut with footage of both the city and the shore.

Alternative rock band 9mm Parabellum Bullet will be releasing a new album titled “DEEP BLUE” next month on September 9th. “DEEP BLUE” comes two years after the release of the quartet’s previous longplay, “BABEL”, and will play a key role in the group’s 15th anniversary celebrations.
The record will include the band’s previously released tracks “21g”, “Karma no Hanawa”, and “Namonaki Hero”, an updated version of “Carry on”, and eight new songs for a total of 12. Ahead of its release, PVs for album tracks “Beautiful Dreamer” and “Natsu ga Tsuzuku kara” have been uploaded to the group’s YouTube channel.

Last month we reported that rocker Eikichi Yazawa would be releasing a new album titled “Itsuka, Sono Hi ga Kuru Hi made…” on September 4th. Now that this date has drawn closer, he has uploaded the music video for the record’s lead track “Aishite Iru nara” to his YouTube channel.
This PV sees Yazawa reflecting on his nearly 50 years in the music industry, this storied history represented by a myriad of different photographs. A pair of live videos, previewing the footage to be included with the album’s Limited Editions, have also been published.

Singer/songwriter Yusuke Chiba, better known as the frontman for rock band The Birthday, has revealed that he will be releasing his second studio album “Shiosai” on November 27th. Much like Chiba’s first solo longplay – 2012’s “DEAR ROCKERS” – this latest record will be released under the moniker YUSUKE CHIBA -SNAKE ON THE BEACH-.
“Shiosai” will include 17 newly written songs, many of which will be emotive instrumental tracks meant to stimulate the listener’s imagination. The record’s Limited Edition will include both liner notes and a DVD containing image videos, composed of photos taken by Chiba, for every song. Of note, Chiba wrote, composed, arranged, and performed nearly the entirety of this release on his own.

Instrumental jazz trio fox capture plan released their latest digital single, titled “NEW ERA”, this week on August 28th. In conjunction with the release, the group have also uploaded the track’s short music video to their YouTube channel.
The PV focuses on a series of kaleidoscopic images which enfold and envelop each other in a mesmerizing manner. As regards the song itself, “NEW ERA” is described as an uptempo number based around a strong polyrhythmic backbone.
