This week, Nogizaka46 topped the Combined Single chart with their single “Yoake Made Tsuyogaranakute mo Ii”, with 977,190 points in its first week in the chart’s top 10.

Yazawa Eikichi topped the Combined Album chart with his new album “Itsuka, Sono Hi ga Kuru Hi made…”, with 111,545 points in its first week.

Nogizaka46 also topped the Single chart with “Yoake Made Tsuyogaranakute mo Ii”, selling 964,523 copies in its first week.

Eikichi also topped the Album chart with “Itsuka, Sono Hi ga Kuru Hi made…”, selling 111,545 copies in its first week.

Yonezu Kenshi topped the Digital Single chart for the fourth consecutive week with his digital single “Uma to Shika”, selling 68,388 copies in its fourth week.

Nogizaka46 topped the Digital Album chart with the special edition of “Yoake Made Tsuyogaranakute mo Ii”, selling 2,244 copies in its second week.

Official HIGE DANdism topped the Streaming chart for the 16th consecutive week with their song “Pretender”, with 3,672,783 streams in its 19th week.

Namie Amuro’s videography available on Apple Music, opens temporary Twitter account

Back in June 2019 J-pop fans screeched in joy as Namie Amuro‘s full (almost) discography became available for streaming, worldwide!

Beginning with her single “Body Feels EXIT”, and her album “SWEET 19 BLUES”, her catalog is currently available on Apple Music. Subscribers to the service are about to be in for another treat, as her entire videography is now also available for streaming!

THE BACK HORN reveal all of the info. about their upcoming Album “Carpe Diem”

Back in June, we reported that alternative rock quartet THE BACK HORN would be releasing a new full-length album on October 23rd. Now that this date has drawn closer, the group have chosen to publish all of the details about the record online.

This album – titled “Carpe Diem” – will include the band’s previously released digital single “Shinzou ga Tomaru Made wa”, lead track “Taiyou no Hana”, and nine other new songs for a total of 11. Both of its Limited Editions will come packaged with a DVD/Blu-ray containing live footage from their 20th Anniversary concert at Nippon Budokan – though the Blu-ray will contain an additional backstage interview.

Mariya Takeuchi to release New Single “Tabi no Tsuzuki”

Hot on the heels of the release of her 40th anniversary compilation “Turntable“, veteran singer/songwriter Mariya Takeuchi will be releasing a new single next month on October 9th. Titled “Tabi no Tsuzuki”, the A-side has already been selected as the theme song for film “Saikou no Jinsei no Mitsukekata”.

Mariya’s first single since last year’s “Chiisana Negai / Ima wo Ikiyou (Seize the Day)”, “Tabi no Tsuzuki” will also include a cover of Tom Waits’ “Ol’55” as a coupling track. The release’s Limited Edition will come packaged with a high res. version of the three episode short movie used to promote “Turntable”.

Motohiro Hata to release New Single and Album in 2019

Singer/songwriter Motohiro Hata has announced that he will be releasing both a new single and a new album before year’s end. The single, titled “Raspberry Lover”, will be his first such release in over two-and-a-half years, while the as-yet-untitled studio album will be his first since 2015’s “Ao no Koukei”.

“Raspberry Lover” will be released on November 6th and is planned to be issued in four versions, both of the Limited Editions paired with live DVDs. The album, meanwhile, will start stocking store shelves on December 11th and will include the above track, Hata’s previously released songs “Hana” and “Aogeba Aozora”, as well as ten new tracks for a total of 13.
