At the start of this month we reported that psychedelic rock band Odotte Bakari no Kuni will be releasing a new studio album titled “Watashi wa Tsuki ni wa Ikanai Darou” on January 22nd. Now the quintet have chosen to publish the music video for the record’s opening track “Banana Fish” to their YouTube channel.

This PV, which was directed by Motonori Omori and supervised by photographer Rintaro Ishige, stars dancers Aoi Yamada and Tsuki Takamura as they work their way through an abandoned playhouse. As the video progresses, their movements grow more wild and erratic, mirroring the song’s own progression to its discordant climax.

Earlier this week mixture rock band King Gnu revealed that they would be releasing a new album titled “CEREMONY” on January 15th. The group have since announced that their song “Teenager Forever” will be issued as a digital single on December 20th, and also confirmed another two CM tie-ups.

Their new track “Chiisana Wakusei” has been picked up as the latest CM song for Honda’s VEZEL car line, while “Humor” will be used in advertisements for the one year anniversary of mobile RPG “Romancing SaGa Re;univerSe”. Both songs will be included on “CEREMONY” when it releases in January.

On December 27, MUSIC STATION will air a revamped version of its year end special, titled “MUSIC STATION ULTRA SUPER LIVE 2019.” This special is in honor of TV Asahi’s 60th anniversary and sees MUSIC STATION combining its annual fall special “MUSIC STATION ULTRA FES” with its annual year end special “MUSIC STATION SUPER LIVE.” “MUSIC STATION ULTRA SUPER LIVE 2019” will run for over 11 hours, from 12:00 PM JST to 11:10 PM JST.

The first performers for MUSIC STATION ULTRA SUPER LIVE 2019 were announced earlier today, totalling 49 acts. Among this set are the likes of Shiina Ringo, Koda Kumi, m-flo, Perfume, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, Daichi Miura, DA PUMP, EXILE, E-girls, and LiSA. See who else performing below!
