Rock singer/songwriter Kazuyoshi Saito has revealed that he will be releasing a new studio album titled “202020” on January 29th. This will be Saito’s 20th such record as a solo artist and his first since March 2018’s “Toys Blood Music”.

“202020” will include his previously released tracks “Are”, “Chiisana Yoru”, “Itsumo no Fuukei”, “Auto Reverse ~Saigo no Koi~”, and “Shark”, as well as nine new songs for a total of 14. Of note, among these new tracks will be covers of Katsuo Ono’s “Kizudarake no Tenshi” and Eiko Masuyama’s “Chianti no Uta”.

We’re back with this week’s edition of Oricon Flashback! This is where we look back on what topped the charts this week 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years ago. Think of it as a way to reminisce and learn about the past of Japanese music.

The highly anticipated “kabuki” rendition of Star Wars made it’s stage debut in Tokyo on November 28th, 2019.

Kabuki is a traditional Japanese dance-drama, world renowned for their elaborate and distinct makeup, costumes, and stage design. Ichikawa Ebizo served as the supervisor for the entire production, and also played the lead role as the villain “Kylo Ren“.

“Star Wars Kabuki” revolved around the theme of family. It portrays the many highs and lows that tend to come with family, love and loss. Kylo Ren is the son of the heroes Han Solo and Princess Leia, he’s also trained as a jedi by his equally heroic uncle Luke Skywalker. Unfortunately, he’s tempted to the dark side as he wishes to be as powerful as his grandfather Darth Vader.

LDH group Sandaime J SOUL BROTHERS is prepping for the release of their 25th single. “Fuyuzora / White Wings” will be the boys’ very first double a-side single, along with being the third and final release from the “Raise the flag” saga. This single represents the color white.

The MV for the single stars fellow LDH member EXILE AKIRA, along with his real life wife Lin Chi-ling, a Taiwanese actress, singer, and model. The two made headlines all over Asia when it was announced that they had wed.

Earlier today, Best Artist 2019 aired. The show featured performances by the likes of Arashi, King Gnu, Perfume, Daichi Miura, Matt, Hinatazaka46, King & Prince, and SEKAI NO OWARI. Check out the full show below!

Kato Miliyah is currently celebrating her 15th anniversary. As part of this celebration, she will release a new best album, “M BEST II”, on November 27. This is the follow up to her 2011 best album, “M BEST.”

The 33 songs on “M BEST II” are split between two CDs, “UPPER SIDE” and “BALLAD SIDE.” The “UPPER SIDE” CD features a new version of Miliyah’s 2008 hit “SAYONARA Baby”, featuring SKY-HI and produced by SUNNY BOY. This CD also includes the new song “PARADE”, which serves as the theme song for the TV Osaka drama “Dakaretai 12-nin no Onnatachi.”

“BALLAD SIDE” features a new version of Miliyah’s 2009 hit “Aitai”, featuring just Miliyah’s vocals and piano accompaniment by Kiyozuka Shinya. It also includes a re-recorded, re-arranged version of her 2007 hit “Love is…”, titled “Love is…2019”, in celebration of her becoming a wife and mother this year.

“M BEST II” comes in a limited edition and a regular edition. Both editions contain the two previously mentioned CDs, with the limited edition also containing a DVD featuring 28 music videos and a 40 page art book featuring lyrics and photography by Hiroshi Fujiwara.

Miliyah recently released the music video for the new version of “SAYONARA Baby” featuring SKY-HI. It features a night out on the town. Check it out below, along with more information on her new best album!

On November 27, Genie High will release their debut album, “Genie High Story.” The album will contain ten songs, including the previously released digital singles “Genie High Rhapsody” and “Shaminami.” It also includes the band’s first collaboration, “Fuben na Kawaige”, featuring BiSH‘s AiNA THE END.

“Genie High Story” will come in a limited edition and a regular edition. The limited edition will contain two CDs and a DVD, while the regular edition will contain just the first CD. The second CD of the limited edition includes the instrumentals for the first nine songs on the album, with the last track being a Kawatani Enon vocal version. The DVD that comes with the limited edition includes the music video for the album track “Primadonna”, which the band doesn’t plan to release online.
