The annual CM Queen and King ranking has been released for 2019. This survey monitors and tallies up all of the CM appearances made by talents throughout the year.
For male talent side there’s gonna need to be some crown sharing, as 4 people took the top spot representing 10 companies each. Arashi members Masaki Aiba and Sho Sakurai took the top spot, along with the comedy duo Sandwich Man.
For the girls comedian Naomi Watanabe took the crown with a massive 16 companies represented. Watanabe showed her versatility by appearing in a wide variety of CM genres such as food, beauty, cars, and even insurance.
Nakayama Miho is currently celebrating her 35th anniversary. As part of this celebration, she will release a new album, “Neuf Neuf”, on December 4. This is Miho’s first album since 1999’s “manifesto.”
“Neuf Neuf” will consist of eight songs, half new songs and half self-covers. The self-covers include her 1985 debut single “C” and her 1988 hit “You’re My Only Shinin’ Star.”
One of the album’s new songs is titled “Kimi no Koto.” Miho has now released a music video for it, one which features a mixture of live action and animation. Check it out below, along with more information on her new album!

Legendary rock band L’Arc~en~Ciel is finally catching up with the times! On the bands various official social media accounts, they shared the very exciting news that they now have their very own YouTube channel. The videos also are not restricted to Japan only!
Currently 3 full MVs have been uploaded so far. The singles “Honey” “Kasou” and “Shinshoku -lose control” were all released on the same day, June 8th, 1998. All three singles were a huge chart success for the group, each of them ended up selling over 1 million copies.
