Piano-playing duo Kitri will be releasing their first studio album next year on January 29th. Titled “Kitrist”, this record follows the release of the pair’s EPs “Primo” and “Secondo” and features production from Ohashi Trio, Junpei Kamiya, Choujougenshou, and more.
“Kitrist” will include the group’s previously released tracks “Rashin Dori” and “Mujunritsu”, as well as nine new songs for a total of 11. Of that number, “Sayonara, Namidame” and “Ameagari” have already been released as digital singles.

It’s been just over two months since Johnny’s group Arashi created their official YouTube channel. In that short period Arashi has already amassed well over 2 million subscribers! Furthermore, the MV for their latest song “Turning Up” has crossed the 16 million mark, and that number continues to rapidly grow.
The boys have fully embraced their YouTube channel. Besides uploading full MVs for past songs, a special series called “JET STORM” has also been uploading showing the group on their travels. So far episodes in Jakarta, Singapore, Bangkok, and Taipei have been uploaded.
Early last month singer/songwriter Sachiko Aoyama revealed that she would be releasing her first EP – titled “Maboroshi“. Originally sold only at her live shows, the six-track release has now been made available on both digital download platforms and streaming services.
To further support this record, a music video for its second track “Vanilla” has been uploaded to Aoyama’s YouTube channel. The PV focuses on an animated version of the singer as she explores a city in search of the elusive scent of vanilla.

Nishikido Ryo and Akanishi Jin have decided to turn their long friendship into a new unit! The two former Johnny’s have formed the duo N/A. Ryo and Jin’s new duo will start activities next year.
Keeping in line with the rest of society after leaving Johnny & Associates, N/A has opened Twitter and Instagram accounts, along with an official website. The N/A website features Ryo and Jin’s contract with each other, which displays the friends’ determination and humor.
N/A’s first activity will be a concert in Honolulu, Hawaii at the Tom Moffat Waikiki Shell on May 24. Vacation packages for the concert are being sold to Japanese fans via the Japanese travel agency JTB, so it is unknown how many tickets will be available to local fans.

On December 23, CDTV will air a special Christmas episode, “CDTV Special! Christmas Ongakusai 2019”. The show will begin at 7 PM JST and end at 11:27 PM JST. The first set of performers was announced and the list includes names such as Ken Hirai, Ikimonogakari, EXILE, CHEMISTRY, Foorin, SEKAI NO OWARI, DA PUMP, and Little Glee Monster. On December 27, “MUSIC STATION ULTRA SUPER LIVE 2019” will air. The first set of performers announced for the show features names such as Shiina Ringo, LiSA, Perfume, Koda Kumi, m-flo, and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu.
It was noted at the time that no acts from Johnny & Associates were featured. With the announcement of the second set of performers, that changes. Fourteen acts from the company are set to perform on MUSIC STATION ULTRA SUPER LIVE 2019! This set includes Arashi, V6, Hey! Say! JUMP, and Yamashita Tomohisa. See who else is performing below!
