It has been announced that former Morning Musume member Asuka Fukuda will be releasing a nude photobook. It will also be a “hair nude” photobook, which is a term used to describe photobooks where pubic hair is visible.

The title of the photobook is called “PASSIONABLE”, and Asuka herself came up with the name, combining the two English words “passion” and “able”. Asuka will be doing an exclusive interview with the tabloid FRIDAY MAGAZINE to promote the book.

Johnny & Associates has been fully embracing YouTube lately, much to the delight of their fans! Just recently KinKi Kids member Koichi Domoto created a new version of their song “Ai no Katamari” in support for Smile! Up Project.

Smile Up! Project is an initiative created by Johnny & Associates to help support, and bring awareness to novel COVID-19. Hey! Say! JUMP member Ryosuke Yamamda is the latest high profile Johnny’s star to upload his own video.

Back in February 2020, American duo The Chainsmokers released their latest album “World War Joy” in Japan. One of the exclusive Japanese tracks for the album was a collaboration with none-other than actor Mackenyu Arata.

A special MV was prepared for the shong showing Mackenyu simply singing in a studio. Unfortunately for fans, the Sony Music YouTube upload was only available to viewers inside of Japan. Despite that in just 2 months the video achieved over 10 million views, so in celebration of that milestone the rest of the world can finally properly hear the song!

On April 22, kZm will release his second album, “DISTORTION.” The album features production primarily by his YENTOWN groupmate Chiaki Zulu, but the likes of VaVa and Nariaki Obukuro also lend a hand. Nariaki is also the featured artist on the song he co-produced, “Anybody..” Other featured artists on “DISTORTION” include Yojiro Noda of RADWIMPS, BIM, and Tohji.

Tohji is featured on the song “TEENAGE VIBE”, the video for which was released earlier today. The energetic song brings to mind the indie rock sound of the UK last decade. Check it out below, along with more information on kZm’s album!

After joining LDH, MIYAVI announced that he has two albums planned for 2020. The first of these albums, “Holy Nights”, is set for release on April 22.

“Holy Nights” is a mixture of new songs, covers, and rearranged versions of live songs. One of the new songs, “Bang!”, serves as the new CM song for Rakuten Mobile’s “UN-LIMIT” campaign. Amber Liu, formerly of the KPop group f(x), and LDH EUROPE member FAIS, are included on two other new songs. MIYAVI will cover Yazawa Eikichi‘s “Tomaranai Ha~Ha” and Sawada Kenji‘s “TOKIO” on the album.

“Holy Nights” will be released in three editions, two limited and one regular. Limited edition A contains a DVD which features footage from MIYAVI’s “NO SLEEP TILL TOKYO” World Tour 2019 JAPAN at Zepp DiverCity last year. Limited edition B includes a DVD which features a documentary about the above-mentioned tour.

Yesterday, MIYAVI held a virtual listening party for the album. This streaming event has now been posted on his YouTube channel. Check it out below, along with more information on his new album!

“THE HEAD” is an upcoming hulu original drama series, a joint venture between Japan and Europe.

Filming for “THE HEAD” took place in in Spain and Iceland, and is scheduled to be distributed in 23 countries. Yamapi plays the role of a Japanese researcher, and is the only Japanese actor in a leading role. The rest of the cast consists of western actors. Yamapi will be speaking in English for this role.

The series will have 6 episodes in total, and will become available on Hulu beginning on June 12th, 2020. Further distribution of the show is planned through HBO Asia and other national distribution platforms.

Smile up! Project was started by Johnny & Associates in response to the global spread of the novel COVID-19. The project hopes to cheer up fans and the public, while the ordeal is going on.

The latest addition to the project comes from KinKi Kids member Koichi Domoto, who has done a re-imagination of their song “Ai no Katamari“, which appeared in their best album “KinKi Single Selection II”. The lyrics were modified to encourage people to “social distance”, stay home, and wash your hands!

Trouble is in the air for SKE48 member Rika Tsuzuki. Just the other day she made a not so nice tweet about her sister group HKT48. In a swiftly deleted tweet, Rika wondered why the members of HKT48 were suddenly so ugly. “When did HKT48 become the group with ugly girls?“

Fans have speculated that Rika most likely meant to make the tweet on a private account.
