Last month alternative rock quartet LAMP IN TERREN released their latest digital single “Enchanté”. Now the band have chosen to publish the music video for the track to their YouTube channel.

This PV, directed by Yuki Wakisaka, centers on several picturesque shots of the sky, within which the group’s singer Dai Matsumoto delivers an impassioned performance. The choice of motif for the video relates directly to the song’s lyrics.

It has been announced that Yuya Tegoshi is no longer a member NEWS, he will also be leaving his agency Johnny & Associates. The announcement was made on Johnny’s net, and his removal is effective immediately.

NTV also confirmed that Tegoshi will no longer appear as a regular on the television show ItteQ. Last month it was revealed that Tegoshi would be temporarily suspended from activities for an undetermined amount of time. Johnny’s apologized to fans for his sudden departure.

NEWS will continue as a trio, Tegoshi is the sixth member to leave the group. The tabloid Bunshun called out Tegoshi last month for having a drinking party while Japan was having a heavy restriction period due to the coronavirus. Tegoshi was removed from participating in the Johnny’s charity unit Twenty ★ Twenty.

Tegoshi became a member of Johnny’s in December 2002, and debuted the following year as a member of NEWS. In 2006 he formed a duo called Tegomass with fellow NEWS member Takahisa Masuda. Over the years Tegoshi became known for his cheeky personality, and fantastic singing voice.

Last week comedian and presenter Ken Watabe was exposed for cheating on his model/actress wife Nozomi Sasaki. It was revealed that he had multiple affairs with different women throughout the different stages of their relationship. He cheated on her while they were dating, after they had gotten married, and he even cheated on Sasaki during and after her pregnancy.

According to reports, Watabe met with his agency and told them he doesn’t want to get a divorce, at least not yet. One of the main reasons being that his child is only 1-years-old.

Online publication Business Journal did not hold back when it came to Watabe, wondering if he suffered from narcissistic personality disorder, and even wondered if Sasaki was somehow being hypnotized into staying with him. They consulted with Psychiatrist Tamami Katada.

On June 13, “M Ai Subeki Hito ga Ite”, the drama based on the rise to fame of Ayumi Hamasaki, starring Kalen Anzai as Ayu, returned with its fourth episode, after going on hiatus due to coronavirus.

This episode starts off in the President Ohama’s office. He, Masa, Sho, and some other A Victory staff are reading the lyrics to “poker face.” There are two sets of lyrics, those written by Ayu and those written by a professional songwriter. President Ohama praises the professional songwriter’s lyrics and bashes Ayu’s, with a number of staff agreeing. Masa then reveals that he’s switched the lyrics, and that they are in fact praising Ayu’s lyrics. He then announces that he intends to debut Ayu on April 8, 1998. We then see Ayu recording “poker face”, featuring another struggle vocal from Kalen.

Recording director Yamamoto is feeling our pain and asks Ayu to take a break from recording, and then questions if she’s even trying to sing. He also wonders if Masa’s intuition is off with Ayu. Ayu then thinks about how she can’t sing how she wants to in front of a microphone.

Back at A Victory, Sho announces that his girl group will be called AXELS and have a club vibe. President Ohama notes their trendy gyaru look, comparing it to Ayu’s pale look. Sho says he intends to debut them in the summer, but President Ohama says they’ll debut the same day as Ayu, in an effort to build hype. Masa and Sho agree to this competition, with each vowing to win.

Masa then announces he’s going to spend a billion yen to promote Ayu’s debut, to the shock of everyone in the meeting. President Ohama angrily questions this, but Masa says he’s willing to risk it all for Ayu.

Last month, it was revealed that this year’s a-nation was being postponed due to COVID-19. Today, it was announced that the festival is moving online.

“a-nation online 2020” will take place at the end of August. It will feature several different stages with live performances. There will also be a special online experience.

On January 1, Mukai Taichi laid out his schedule for the first half of 2020. It included a tour of China and Taiwan in the spring, a new digital EP in May, and release parties for the EP in Tokyo and Osaka in June. However, like all 2020 plans, Taichi’s didn’t happen due to COVID-19 (he did recently wrap production on the new digital EP though).

On June 17, Taichi has three new releases, all linked to his most recent tour, “SAVAGE TOUR 2019”. These releases are a live album (“SAVAGE TOUR 2019”), a live video (“SAVAGE TOUR 2019”), and a tour book (“SAVAGE BOOK”).

Taichi’s live album and live video are both being released digitally, with the live video exclusive to iTunes and Apple Music. The live video will also appear on YouTube for a short time starting June 20 at 8 PM JST. Both of these releases were recorded during the final performance of Taichi’s “SAVAGE TOUR 2019”, at Zepp Tokyo last November.

Taichi’s tour book “SAVAGE BOOK” is 33 pages and includes photos from his tour as well as photos from the photoshoot for the “SAVAGE” album. The photos will also be shown at an exhibition at Shibuya Tsutaya June 17 – 27.
