Oricon reports at yesterday’s AKB48 Tokyo Dome live, AKB48 member Anna Iriyama took part in her first live performance in 85 days.
Iriyama was taking a break from her activities since the May 25th Iwate Incident at a handshake event where a man wielding a sharp object attacked several people, leaving her and Rina Kawaei as well as staff and fans injured.
She has since made short appearances since on smaller stages to promote her film, but the still-bandaged Iriyama returned to the stage in front of an audience of 42,000 people today to perform just one song, ‘Arigatou’.
Fans and fellow AKB48 members welcomed her home. Glad to be back, she thank everyone, “Although I’ll be performing only one song today, I’m sooo happy to be standing on the Tokyo Dome stage with everyone.”
Electronic music project spoon+ headed by vocalist aco recently surprised fans with a PV for a track off their third original album “eat”. The song, titled “Night Diver”, is a mellow departure from spoon+’s usual sound, and the PV features aco against a dark backdrop punctuated by color projections and interesting visual effects. aco is additionally responsible for having directed the PV. Currently, KAT-TUN are traveling the country on their first nationwide tour in 2 years, “LIVE TOUR 2014 come Here.” It is the first tour as 4 since Akanashi Jin and Tanaka Koki left the group. However, for the August 8 performance in Sapporo’s Hokkaido Prefectural Sports Center the ticket sales were not that good and the empty seats are reportedly being hidden behind a black curtain.
A new short video clip for Yu Sakai’s new song ‘Summer Again’ has been published to the singer’s label’s official YouTube channel. Dancing, Drinking, Kissing all night long – summer hasn’t even ended but apparently it’s already summer again.
Complete with well-endowed women, the indoor pool set used in the video is a popular location for gravure photoshoots. Delusion sets in and the young man in the video somehow finds himself there with them.

It has been announced that AKB48 sub-unit Not yet’s first live “Not yet ‘already’ 2014.5.10 1st LIVE” will be released October 15th. And no, there no additional sad news like there was with DIVA.
Available in both Blu-ray and DVD, It will include the subunit’s live performance at Ariake Coliseum from May as well as their initial formation announcement video at AKB48′s Request Hour Set List Best 100 from 2011. Bonuses include a 20-page Four-color booklet and a Lucky Draw ticket with the chance of winning a good or B2-sized poster signed by a member.
It was reported on Natalie that electro-pop singer Yun*chi will be responsible for the ending theme song to popular anime Log Horizon. The track they’ll be using will be “Wonderful Wonder World*”, the A-side of her upcoming new single which releases on October 22nd. Yun*chi previously contributed “Your song*” as the anime’s first season ending theme. Log Horizon returns on October 4th.
Additionally, Yun*chi is currently preparing for her first appearance in Indonesia at the J-Music Lab in Gelar Jepang. In honor of this, a special Indonesian version of her collaboration song with IroKokoro Project, “Waon*”, was released. Watch the video below!
JASMINE has unveiled the covers and tracklist her upcoming best album as well as a music video in support of the project. “PURE LOVE BEST” is set for release on October 29. It was originally set for release on September 17 but was pushed back due to production issues. The issues at hand were that new ideas were coming to JASMINE and her staff as they were making the album so they pushed it back a bit to give their ideas more time to develop. The best album will contain all of JASMINE’s singles so far as well as 3 new songs. One of those songs. “I Love It”, has a music video. This song serves as the CM song for travel agency H.I.S.’s Akitabi Matsuri campaign.
