Morning Musume ’14 release all “TIKI BUN / Shabadaba Doo~ / Mikaeri Bijin” PVs

Beloved leader of Morning Musume ’14 Sayumi Michishige is set to release her final single with the group “TIKI BUN / Shabadaba Doo~ / Mikaeri Bijin” on October 15, 2014. The “TIKI BUN” PV was released to their official YouTube Channel, but today the promotional versions for the other two A-sides were released through Hello! Project’s very own YouTube show “Hello! Station”.

The three songs show versatility within Morning Musume ’14, providing a different variety of arrangements and styles.

Creephyp announces new single and album

Rock band Creephyp has announced two upcoming releases: a single followed by an album a month later. On November 5, the band will release their 6th single “Hyakuhachi Yen no Koi.” This will be followed on December 3 by their 3rd album “Hitotsu ni Narenai nara, Semete Futatsu Dakede Iyou.” There isn’t much information on the new album besides the title but the covers and tracklist for the new single can be seen after the jump!

‘The Vancouver Asahi’ premiere in Canada opens to pandemonium

Fans championed through the poor weather to get a glimpse of their favorite Japanese actors at the Vancouver International Film Festival world premiere of the much-anticipated Japan-Canada coproduction “The Vancouver Asahi” (“Bankuba no Asahi”).

“The Vancouver Asahi” is based on the real life story of 2nd generation Japanese immigrants (played by Satoshi Tsumabuki, Kazuya Kamenashi, Ryo Katsuji, Yusuke Kamiji, Sosuke Ikematsu) living in Canada that played on the team of the same name back in the 1930s. As a team, they played within the local amateur baseball league. Although struggling with discrimination and poverty in their personal lives, the team grew in popularity due to their fair play spirit.

Nozomi Tsuji’s fans are very cute

An exciting new feature on Nozomi Tsuji’s website for her fashion line Saruru has recently been revealed.

Titled “Coordinate Snap” fans are able to submit pictures of themselves and their children wearing clothes from Saruru, their photo will then be featured on a special gallery. Saruru began operation last year and became an instant success. Originally only selling children’s clothes the line was soon expanded to include some adult pieces.

SHINee and HKT48 top the weekly Oricon charts! 9/22 – 9/28

On this week’s Oricon weekly singles and albums physical sales charts, Korean group SHINee land the number one spot on the album charts with ‘I’m Your Boy‘ selling 45,053 records. Also on the very foreign charts this week is Ariana Grande’s pulsating worldwide impact and the first week sales for Lady GaGa and Tony Bennett’s new jazz album. HKT48 blow away the competition with their ‘Hikaeme I love you!‘ selling 277,534 copies of their single.

Koki Tanaka forms new band “INKT” and previews new song “Trigger”

Former KAT-TUN member Koki Tanaka has announced the formation of his new band INKT on his official twitter account. Other than this, a PV preview of the band’s first song “Trigger” has been uploaded on their Youtube channel. INKT’s members are:

Prolific Superflat artist Takashi Murakami produces anime PV for Pharrell

American Musician Pharrell Williams has debuted his new anime/video game-inspired music video for “It Girl” produced by world renowned contemporary Japanese artist Takashi Murakami through his company Kaikai Kiki.

The video was directed by fantasista utamaro and Mr., with Sorato Shimizu helming the character design and key animation.

Takashi Murakami and Pharrell have collaborated in the past when Murakami created a music video for Williams’ remix the Hatsune Miku song “Last Night Good Night,” a song previously used as the theme song for Murakami’s 2013 film “Jellyfish Eyes“, as well as a sculpture back in 2008.
