Japanese rapper Tigarah has released “Spanky Afro Tiger Jet” performed by both of her alter egos Tigarah and Laura designed by loco2kit (of galaxxxy).
After changing her stage name to “Tigarah e Laura” earlier this year, she began this project that expresses her twin personalities. The two characters embody her opposite qualities – Tigarah for her demonic side, and Laura, for her angelic side. (By the way, Tigarah really has a twin sister living in Brazil!) This project features and combines many aspects of expression through music, video, dance and fashion.
The animated video was directed by Masatsugu Nagasoe with choreography from HOK (Quest Crew).
Hip hop group GAGLE have just released the PV for their new song “iPhone 6”, an unofficial theme for the popular Phones made by Apple.
GAGLE was formed back in 1996 in Sendai and debuted in 2001. It consists of DJ Mitsu the Beats, HUNGER, and DJ Mu-R.
The song has been made for temporary download on Soundcloud. The song was produced by group member DJ Mitsu The Beats with creative direction by Erykah. The video shows an iPhone6 that is seemingly just edited on top of the video, but it’s actually riskily held in the air by fishing line for a high-impact effect. It was filmed exclusively in Sendai, Japan.
A special exhibit that will feature the works of Hajime Isayama for the “Attack on Titan” (“Shingeki no Kyojin”) anime series will debut next month at the Ueno Royal Museum in Tokyo, but the graphic nature of the aforementioned Titans have resulted in some self-censorship.
Natalie reports all the advertising visuals are now decorated with images of big food. These images were subject to some slight alterations because they originally showed “shocking imagery” of the Titans preying on humans. The posters read “voluntary restraints” and feature the Titans eating food like hamburgers and fried chicken.
The music video for electro-pop singer Yun*chi‘s upcoming single “Wonderful Wonder World*” has been released. The PV, filmed using stop-motion, features Yun*chi in a dazzling nighttime city environment. Watch it below!
After awhile off the grid, Actor Hiro Mizushima (self-described “Person”) has opened up an official Instagram account!
Mizushima retreated from the public eye after his marriage with singer-songwriter Ayaka that was prompted by her Graves’ disease diagnosis. Though Ayaka’s improving condition allowed her to return to music in 2012, he remained low until he began promotions for his 2014 film “Black Butler” of which he played the titular character and served as the co-screenwriter and co-producer.
He has only had the account for a day but has already managed to upload 5 images. So far, his Instagram brand includes a selfie of him confirming the official status of the account and his extremely tiny and adorable dogs Raki and Ao (“They’re twins #dog #twins“). His filter game is lacking a bit, but let’s allow him to get used to the platform and the concept of quality control.
As previously reported, popular rock band Mr.Children will be performing the theme song for Fuji TV’s Getsu 9 drama ‘Nobunaga Concerto’, starring Shun Oguri. Now, the band have announced that they’ll be releasing the theme, ‘Ashioto ~Be Strong’ as a physical single on November 19th.
This will be the first time that Mr.Children have issued a physical single in 2 years and 7 months, since their triple A-side release ‘Inori ~Namida no Kidou / End of the day / pieces’ back in April of 2012. There will only be one version of the CD printed, containing the title track and two coupling songs: a remastered version of ‘Hanatareru’, their theme for the movie ‘Seiten no Hekireki’, and ‘Melody’, a new track which is said to represent the ‘current position’ of the band.

With the release of his new single October 1st, the PV for GACKT’s new song “Akatsukizukuyo -Day Breakers-” is now available for viewing!
GACKT has collaborated with Square Enix for the release of the new iOS game 3594e based on the story of Romance of the Three Kingdoms, a Chinese historical novel, in which he voices in-game playable character military general Lü Bu. This song serves as its theme song.
It is the final installment of four songs that explored the four seasons, starting with “Setsugekka (The End of Silence)” from 2009, “Hakuro” from 2012 and “Sakura Chiru…” from 2013.
