R&B/Jazz singer MARTER has recently revealed the music video for the lead track off of his new album, titled “Mori no Kotoba”. The smooth and scintillating song is paired with an absolutely beautiful set of animations, the world shown to us in the PV both incredibly vibrant and expressive; it’s certainly one of the best music videos I’ve had the pleasure of viewing this year.
The aforementioned album, titled “Songs of Four Seasons”, dropped on October 18th and consists of 10 tracks, most in a smooth vein similar to the release’s lead track. In addition, MARTER will also be releasing an analog record in mid-November which will contain both ‘Mori no Kotoba’ and ‘skankingroove’, another song off of the album.
So please, check out the wonderful PV, the album’s track list, and a set of previews for said release right below the cut.

Ai Kago announced on her blog that her unit, Girls Beat!!, has suspended activities until further notice.
She writes in her blog that they had to suspend their activities due to “current circumstances”. It appears that those circumstances are the fact that the Tokyo Metropolitan Police have issued an arrest warrant for her husband (47) on the act of loansharking.
Girls Beat!! was currently in the middle of taking applications for new members until the 31st and voting for new song lyrics until the 28th. However, all of those have been put on hold due to the current situation. Kago apologized, “I am truly sorry for causing you all problems.”

Mainstream popular electro-pop trio Perfume have surprisingly made a cameo appearance in the music video for American rock band OK Go‘s song “I Won’t Let You Down”, from the group’s latest album Hungry Ghosts. In the video (co-directed by longtime Perfume collaborator Kazuaki Seki), the Perfume members appear very briefly at the beginning wearing a dressed-down style different from their usual as they pretend to be staff on the set of the video’s filming. This isn’t the first time Perfume have made a cameo in a rock band’s music video — in 2008, the electronic unit appeared in Japanese band Porno Graffiti’s PV for their song “Itai Tachiichi”. Check out their OK Go cameo below!
