YU-A Announces Marriage and Pregnancy

In a blog post on her fan club website, YU-A announced that she is now married and pregnant. She married a non-celebrity male this past October. She wants to cherish every day now, and wants to use her new roles as a wife and mother in her music.

Hiroki Narimiya announces retirement from the entertainment industry

Following the article published by FRIDAY last December 2, the actor Hiroki Narimiya (34) has announced his retirement in the show business through his company.

Daichi Miura to Become Father and Release New Single

Earlier this week, Daichi Miura revealed on his blog that his wife is currently pregnant with the couple’s first child. Daichi’s wife is in her last month of pregnancy and is expected to give birth soon. In his blog post, Daichi said that he originally just wanted to announce the birth once it happened. However, the couple recently took a picture, with his wife visibly pregnant. This picture was going to be published against the couple’s wishes, so Daichi took action and announced the pregnancy himself. He thanked his fans for their support in this matter. But this isn’t only new thing coming from Daichi! On January 18, Daichi will release his new single, “EXCITE.” The song serves as the theme song for the TV Asahi drama “Kamen Rider Ex-Aid.” “EXCITE” will come in four editions: 2 CD+Toy limited editions, a CD+DVD edition, and a CD only edition. GReeeeN Performs on SONGS for December 8

This week’s episode featured GReeeeN. This episode actually marks GReeeeN’s television debut. The group is currently celebrating their 10th anniversary, and despite having many hits, the group has still not revealed their true identities. This continues into this episode of SONGS, which features the members of GReeeeN hiding their idenities via anime-like costumes with large heads. GReeeeN also performed four songs.

Utada Hikaru Internet Live Live Stream and Chat

On December 9 at 9 PM JST, Utada Hikaru will hold a live internet event titled “Sanjudai wa Hodohodo.” During the half hour show, Utada will answer fans’ questions which are received in real time. She’ll also perform. Two special guests will be joining Utada on “Sanjudai wa Hodohodo”, KOHH and PUNPEE.

Zin to Disband and Form New Band

Zin, a visual kei band formed in 2013, has announced their disbandment. After the release of nine singles and a debut mini album, vocalist Riku left the band due to struggling with depression. Guitarist Luy took over the role of lead vocalist and their tenth single “Honoo no Tomoshibi” was released. The band’s label NS Records Inc. suddenly posted an official message regarding the group’s disbandment but no reason was given. However vocalist Luy gave an insight to what caused the group to disband. 

Rides in ReVellion Releases “Reincarnation-F.A.T.E./Rusty Nail-“

Rides in ReVellion has announced their cover of X-Japan’s song “Rusty Nail” along with two new songs on their fourth single “Reincarnation-F.A.T.E./Rusty Nail-“ The single will be available in two versions and will be officially released February 1.
