The event was bustling with cosplayers, dance groups, illustrators, merchandise sellers, videogame lovers and much more. And what would be a Japanese con without guest international stars to bring Japan extra closer? One of them was the electropop trio color-code, who brought class, style, fashion and lots of love to the event. Today we are sharing our report on the Q&A panel they held, and yesterday we shared our Live Report on the concerts they gave on both Saturday and Sunday! Don’t forget to also check LADYBEARD‘s Q&A!

androp partner with Universal Music to release a new Single

Last October alternative rock band androp left their major label and established their own imprint, image world, which they used to self-publish their latest album “blue”.  Now the group have chosen to partner with Universal Music Japan’s ZEN MUSIC sub-label for the release of their upcoming single “Prism”, which will be available later this year on May 10th.

The band’s singer, Takahito Uchisawa, has described “Prism” as a song which represents androp’s current mindset, able to shine a light on the darkness and hardship they’ve gone through in order to take the next step as musicians.  The single itself will be released in two versions, with the Limited Edition including both the music video for the lead song as well as footage from their most recent live tour.

Read on below to find the track list for “Prism”, as well as a trailer for the live footage that will be packaged will the single’s Limited pressing.

Ohashi Trio continues his 10th Anniversary celebration with a new Studio Album

Following up on the single he released last November, popular multi-instrumentalist Ohashi Trio released his latest full album “Blue” this week on February 15th.  “Blue” was issued in three versions (CD, CD+DVD, and CD+Blu-ray) and included both “Ringo no Ki” and “Uchuu Kara Yattekita Nyanbo”, the lead songs from the aforementioned single.

In support of this release, the music videos for the record’s opening and closing tracks “DOLLY” and “The Day Will Come Again” were recently uploaded to avex’s official Youtube channel.  The former video sees Ohashi Trio interacting with what appears to be an imaginary friend, while the latter focuses on a series of emotional images that match the song’s uplifting tone.

You’ll find both of these PVs, as well as the cover and track list for “Blue” beneath the cut.
