Momoiro Clover Z get sentimental, then party with drag queens in “Clover and Diamond” MV

Girl group Momoiro Clover Z will be celebrating their 10th anniversary with a massive BEST album!

Titled Momoiro Clover Z 10 Shuunenkinen BEST ALBUM, the standard version will be a 2 disc set spanning the girls’ entire career.

A limited edition version will also be available at retailers for the hefty price of 11111 yen, but fans will be getting their moneys worth. An extra disc will be included featuring rare songs like the Christmas single Shiroi Kaze .

Hideki Saijo passes away at 63 years old

Veteran singer and actor Hideki Saiko has passed away at 63 years old.

In a statement is office shared that Saiko has died due to acute heart failure on May 16th, 2018.

Saiko began has career in the early 70s, landing acting roles and releasing his debut album Koisurukisetsu. He quickly gained popularity, and was considered among the very top teen male idols along with Hiromi Go and Goro Noguchi.

CHERRSEE release MV for “Piano”

Girl group CHERRSEE has released their latest MV for Piano.

It was selected to be the main promotional track for the girls’ very first mini-album titled Melody.

Melody will be released in the standard two versions, CD only and CD+DVD. Six tracks will be included in total, along with instrumental versions for each song. The DVD version will include the full MV for the promotional song Piano.

Utae Explores the Human Body in “Supersonic” PV

On May 16, composer / model / DJ Utae will release her new digital single, “Supersonic.” She recently released the music video for the song. The video has the concept of treating the human body like a landscape. Various parts of the body are shown close up and at angles not normally seen, giving new perspective on things we all have. Shota Shimizu Lives for the Night in “Friday” PV

On May 16, Shota Shimizu will release his new single, “Friday.” The song is part of Suntory’s music campaign for their “The Premium Mortz” line of beer. In keeping with the campaign, the song is about the excitement that Friday night provides. Shota recently released the music video for “Friday.” It features him walking around various parts of Tokyo where people enjoy their Friday nights. ZOMBIE-CHANG Releasing New Album on July 4

ZOMBIE-CHANG will be releasing her followup to her major label debut ‘GANG’ in July with her latest album ‘PETIT PETIT PETIT’.

This album is described to have a full band support, including live bass, drum and guitar, whist overlapping with her trademark synth pop. Previously released tracks ‘Lemonade’ and ‘WE SHOULD KISS’ have been re-imagined into a new full band arrangement. The track ‘Mona Lisa’ was written to appeal to both adults and children.

Hiroshi Ikeda of hmc (Petrolz, never young beach and more) is lead sound engineer. Mei Lin is in charge of photography and design work.

RADWIMPS to release New Single “Catharsist” in June

A few weeks ago popular rock band RADWIMPS announced that they would be releasing a new single titled “Catharsist” on June 6th.  Their first release since February’s “Mountain Top / Shape of Miracle”, this single promises a return to the band’s more usual Japanese lyrical style.

Several weeks ahead of its release date, it has also been announced that the lead song will serve as the official theme song for FujiTV’s soccer broadcasts this season.  In conjunction with this announcement, a trailer featuring a snippet of the upbeat track has been uploaded to RADWIMPS’ Youtube channel.
