One song from 2018 were certified Gold this month for selling 100,000 copies: MISIA’s “Ai no Katachi.”

Actress Erina Mano is the star of a brand new nationwide campaign for “pro-style”, a line of hair styling products.

For the campaign, Mano took inspiration from some of the most iconic idols from the past four decades. Using pro-style products Mano transformed into the idols emulating their fashion and of course defining hairstyle.

Clocking in at nearly 5 minutes the CM is almost like a MV, where she does a performance emulating the idol also.

Former EXILE member EXILE USA & actress Arisa Sugi have revealed that they are currently expecting their very first child! The announcement was made today on LDH’s official website.

After dating for roughly 7 years EXILE USA and Sugi tied the knot in October 2017. Both of them released a joint statement thanking everyone for the continued warm support received from fans and co-workers.

On September 19, CORNELIUS will release his new album, “Ripple Waves.” This new album is a mixture of things. It features remixes by the likes of Ryuichi Sakamoto and Haruomi Hosono of songs from CORNELIUS’ 2017 album “Mellow Waves.” It also features new music that CORNELIUS createdfor the exhibition “AUDIO ARCHITECTURE: Oto no Architecture Ten” at Tokyo’s 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT. “Ripple Waves” also features recordings two of songs off of “Mellow Waves”, “Anata ga Iru nara” and “Yume no Naka de”, performed at the Spotify and NPR studios, respectively. While at the Spotify studio, CORNELIUS also did a cover of Drake’s 2017 hit “Passionfruit.” This too is included on the new album.

Former Tohoshinki member Jaejoong is back on the scene with his 2nd single “Defiance”.

The song has been described as edgy rock tune full of passion, which would be very suitable as the theme to an anime series full of action and fighting.  As it turns out “Defiance” has a tie-in with an anime series full of action! It will serve as the new theme song for “Zoids Wild“. 

After working on LUCKY TAPES and Tomita Lab’s releases, UKO is set to release her first mini album. It is titled “ONE LOVE” and is set for release on September 19. Takahashi Kai of LUCKY TAPES returns the favor by producing “lure”, one of the songs on “ONE LOVE.” This mini album also features collaborations with Insist’s BASI, Kakihira Ai, Katagi Kie of jizue. UKO recently released the music video for her mini album’s title track, which can be found below, along with more information on this release!

In December, la la larks will go on their “lark it up! 2018” tour. They’ll be making stops in Osaka, Nagoya, and Tokyo. This tour has a theme song, titled “after.” The song will be released to streaming services on September 19.

la la larks is also asking fans to make a music videos for “after.” The submissions will be posted on a special website and screened at the tour’s final show in Tokyo on December 14. la la larks has released an example video, which can be seen below, along with the song’s cover art!

LDH soloist Dream Ami is prepping for the release of her 7th single titled “Wonderland“.

The song will serve as the theme song for the upcoming film “Oz Land” starring Haru and Hidetoshi Nishijima. Today, the official YouTube channel for Avex uploaded the MV for “Wonderland”.
