back number reveal all of the info. about their New Album “MAGIC”

Earlier this month, pop-rock trio back number announced that they would be releasing their latest studio record “MAGIC” on March 27th. The group have now decided to make all of the remaining information about the album available on their website.

As was reported previously, “MAGIC” will include the band’s previous four A-side tracks – “Mabataki”, “Dai Fuseikai”, “Old Fashion”, and “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” – as well as four B-sides, one from each single. The record’s remaining four songs will be new, meaning that there will still be some surprises for those that have been keeping up with the group’s releases.

Namie Amuro, BTS, AKB48, & more win at 33rd “Japan Gold Disc Award”

The Recording Industry Association of Japan has announced the winners for the 2019 edition of “The Japan Gold Disc Awards“. These awards are based off of sales from January 1st 2018, until December 31st. Both Japanese and oversea artists are eligible for awards. This is the 33rd edition of the awards.

Taking home the top prize “Artist of the Year” for the second year in a row is Namie Amuro! Namie has continued to break records with the release of her compilation album “Finally”, and her last concert tour “Final Tour 2018 -Finally-“. Besides last year she previously won this award back in 1997.

British rock band Queen won western artist of the year while K-pop group BTS won Asian artist of the year. AKB48‘s hit “Teacher Teacher” won Single of The Year, and Kenshi Yonezu‘s “Lemon” won in the digital category. Check out all of the winners below!

Finalists Announced for The 11th CD Shop Awards 2019

The 11th CD Shop Awards 2019 have selected their 10 finalists for this year’s grand prize! The top 10 were selected by 501 CD shop staff from a pool of 24 albums released last year. The award ceremony will take place on March 18.

This year will be different though, with two new awards being given out. The first will be the “red” award, which goes a to “god-level” album that can be listened to again and again. The second will be the “blue” award, which goes to an album by a new artist that is highly recommended to to customers.

New trailer released for “Parallel World Love Story”, starring Yuta Tamamori

A brand new trailer for the film “Parallel World Love Story” has been released, starring Kis-My-ft2 member Yuta Tamamori.

Fans of singer Utada Hikaru will find a nice surprise when watching the trailer, her song “Shittosarerubeki Jinsei” has been selected as the main theme song. It was originally released as the closing track of her 7th Japanese studio album “Hatsukoi”.

Jin Akanishi & Meisa Kuroki’s daughter attends private “American style” school

Theia Akanishi is the first child of power couple Jin Akanishi & Meisa Kuroki. She is already six years old! Similar to many couples Jin and Mesia play a large role in the education of their children, and want the absolute best for them.

It has been revealed that Theia has been attending “The American School in Japan“, at their Roppongi campus. Abbreviated as ASIJ, the private day school is for students beginning in Kindergarten all the way to grade 12. Founded in 1902, it was created by a group of women who recognized the growing need for a school among the growing foreign population.

STU48, ONE OK ROCK, Yonezu Kenshi, and Aimyon Top the Oricon Charts for the Week of 2/11 – 2/17

This week, STU48 topped the Combined Single chart with their single “Kaze wo Matsu”, with 278,620 points in its first week on the chart.

ONE OK ROCK topped the Combined Album chart with their new album “Eye of the Storm”, with 231,414 points in its first week.

STU48 also topped the Single chart with “Kaze wo Matsu”, selling 276,316 copies in its first week.

ONE OK ROCK also topped the Album chart with “Eye of the Storm”, selling 197,563 copies in its first week.

Yonezu Kenshi topped the Digital Single chart for the 25th non-consecutive week “Lemon”, selling 29,702 copies in its 53rd week.

ONE OK ROCK also topped the Digital Album chart with “Eye of the Storm”, selling 29,345 copies in its first week.

Aimyon topped the Streaming chart for the seventh consecutive week with her single “Marigold”, with 2,114,795 streams in the chart’s tenth week.
