This week folk-pop singer/songwriter Tomomi Shimantogawa released his latest digital single “Ijime”. This marks his first release of new material since 2018’s “GAIA” and will include both the title track and a pair of B-sides.
In conjunction with the single’s release, a music video for the lead song has also been uploaded to Shimantogawa’s YouTube channel. This PV, which was directed by Hitoshi Odajima, features a series of home movie clips which have been edited together.

Dance group DA PUMP has returned to the scene with the release of their brand new single titled “Sakura“. This is their first single since the group had their surprising comeback with “U.S.A”.
Released back in June 6th, 2018 the campy eurobeat track became one of the biggest songs of the year in Japan. It has so far received over 166 million views on YouTube, and topped various digital charts for months.
iri will release her third album, “Shade”, on March 6. She describes the album’s concept as being the shadow within her. “Shade” sees iri working with a number of collaborators, including Shinchi Osawa, tofubeats, Kenmochi Hidefumi, STUTS, Grooveman Spot, and Shingo.S.
iri has released two music videos in support of “Shade.” The first is for the Shinichi Osawa-produced title track. The video was shot in Taiwan when iri performed there last year.
The second video is for “Wonderland”, which was produced by Pistachio Studio‘s ESME MORI. The song serves as the CM song for Sony’s “h.ear x Walkman” campaign.

Ling Tosite Sigure frontman TK will release his new single “P.S. RED I” on March 6. The song serves as the theme song for the Japanese release of “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”, which will be called “Spider-Man: Spider Bath” there.
The single comes in a CD+DVD limited edition and a CD-only regular edition. The limited edition DVD contains four live studio performances plus an interview with TK.

On March 6, JUJU will release her new single “Mirai.” The song serves as the theme song for the TV Asahi drama “Haken Uranaishi Ataru.” The song’s lyrics were written by Negoto‘s Aoyama Sachiko.
JUJU recently released the music video for the single’s first B-side, “READ MY LIPS.” The song is the first part of the “YSL BEAUTY MUSIC PROJECT”, which celebrates the 40th anniversary of the Yves Saint Laurent Beauté brand. The UTA-produced song sees JUJU experimenting with trap music. The video itself starts off at a party before finding itself in a lip balm-induced fantasyland. SALU‘s new digital single “RAP GAME” will be released on March 6. The song, which is built around a sample of Brenda Russell‘s 1988 hit “Piano In The Dark”, deals with SALU’s rap career in an autobiographical manner.
In the song’s music video, SALU can be seen wearing clothes by ACVI, his new clothing brand. He is also joined in the clip by fellow hip hop contemporaries, such as Awich, JP THE WAVY, and SKY-HI. Check it out below, along with the digital single’s cover!
On March 6, tofubeats will release the soundtrack he created for the film “Netemo Sametemo.” This is his first time being in charge of a movie soundtrack. His song “RIVER” served as the theme song for “Netemo Sametemo” and is included on the soundtrack. This release conincides with the film’s release on DVD and Blu-ray.
