“THE MUSIC DAY 2019 ~Jidai~” Live Stream and Chat

At 1:30 PM JST on July 6, “THE MUSIC DAY 2019 ~Jidai~” will air. The previously announced performers include Arashi, Daichi Miura, DA PUMP, AKB48, Kaela Kimura, and Sandaime J Soul Brothers. In recent days, more performers have been announced, including Perfume, DAOKO, MIYAVI, BiSH, GLAY, and BTS. The full list of perfomers can be found below.

OAU to release their first Album under their new name in September

Folk/Acoustic Rock outfit OAU – formerly OVERGROUND ACOUSTIC UNDERGROUND – have announced that they will be releasing their fourth full-length album on September 4th. This eponymous release comes fully five years after their previous record, and will be the first since the group adopted its new moniker.

“OAU” will include both of the lead songs off the band’s recently released Double A-side single, “Kaerimichi / Where have you gone”, their 2018 digital single “Midnight Sun”, and ten new tracks for a total of 13. The record will be issued in three versions: a Regular CD-Only Edition, an Analog Edition, and a Limited Edition which will come packaged with a DVD containing footage from the sextet’s July 4th Billboard live.

THE RAMPAGE return with new MV for “WELCOME 2 PARADISE”

THE RAMPAGE from EXILE TRIBE are back with a brand new single. “WELCOME 2 PARADISE” is the upcoming 8th single from the group, and is their 2nd of the year so far.

The title track, along with one of the b-sides “SUMMER DAYS” will be pre-released digitally beginning on July 4th. To help celebrate this pre-release, avex has uploaded the MV for “WELCOME 2 PARADISE”

the HIATUS to release their Sixth Full-Length Album “Our Secret Spot”

Alternative rockers the HIATUS have announced that they will be releasing a brand new studio album titled “Our Secret Spot” on July 24th. Their first new record in three years, “Our Secret Spot” will be the group’s sixth longplay together and is set to include ten new songs.

The record’s release will be followed by a supporting tour which will see the band perform at 12 venues across Japan from July to September of this year. In conjunction with these announcements, the first new track from the album – “Regrets” – was played live on lead vocalist Takeshi Hosomi’s radio show this week.

ENDRECHERI to release New Album “NARALIEN” in August

Just over a year after the release of his previous album, “HYBRID FUNK”, ENDRECHERI – the current solo project of KinKi Kids member Tsuyoshi Domoto – has announced that he will be releasing a new record on August 14th. Titled “NARALIEN”, the album will include both new songs – such as “FUNK TRON”, “Heki”, and “PURPLE FIRE” – as well as remakes of older songs like “Believe in intuition…” and “NIPPON”.

“NARALIEN” is currently planned to be issued in three versions, with the Limited Edition A to include a DVD containing the music video for album lead track “4 10 cake (Hot cake)” and footage from ENDRECHERI’s performance at SUMMER SONIC 2018, while the Limited Edition B will come packaged with a second DVD which includes an hour-long video centering around Tsuyoshi and his band members.

Natsu no Mujina sing a summer lament in their Music Video for “Kemuri no Hanataba”

Alternative rock quartet Natsu no Mujina will be releasing their second studio album “Temporary Reality Numbers” next week on July 10th. Just ahead of this release date, they have chosen to upload the music video for its lead track “Kemuri no Hanataba” to their label’s YouTube channel.

Shot in a nostalgic style, this PV aims to portray both the group’s sense of humor and the serious nature of the song itself. Of note, the video was directed by the group’s bassist Kaoru Kubota.

THE CHARM PARK publishes his less-than-typical PV for “Ordinary”

Pop singer/songwriter THE CHARM PARK has just released his latest mini-album, “Standing Tall“, this week on July 3rd. To further promote this tie-up heavy release, he has now published the music video for its lead track – “Ordinary” – to his label’s YouTube channel.

The PV was directed by Kanji Suto and centers around a less-than-ordinary situation, as a girl pulls out all the stops in her quest to return a fish to the sea. A trailer which previews the remaining songs on the mini-album has also been uploaded to YouTube.
