Up-and-coming singer/songwriter Sano ibuki has announced that he will be releasing his first full-length album, titled “STORY TELLER”, on November 6th. This 12-track record will likewise mark Sano’s major debut with Universal Music Japan’s EMI Records imprint.
Well ahead of the album’s release, Sano has chosen to release tracks “Kakumeiteki Senkoudan” and “Metsubou to Sunadokei” as digital singles. A music video for the latter song has also been published to his YouTube channel.

YOSHI will release a new digital single on September 6 titled “RIDING ON TIME.” The song’s title and the sample its based on come from Yamashita Tatsuro‘s 1980 hit “RIDE ON TIME.” The single’s cover art is also a nod to Tats, since its in the style of Suzuki Eizin, who has worked on numerous pieces of album art for him. Shinichi Osawa has formed a new duo with an artist / model / DJ / poet named RHYME. The name of this new unit is RHYME SO, and they will make their debut on September 6 with the digital single “Just Used Music Again.” The song is being released by 88rising, an American company that specializes in Asian hip hop.
On October 11, 88rising will release the compilation album “Head In The Clouds II”, which will include “Just Used Music Again.” The album is named after the festival the company held in Los Angeles last month, which attracted 22,000 attendees.
Hajime Sorayama created the festival goods for “Head In The Clouds II” as well as the covers for its accompanying album and “Just Used Music Again.” The imagery from the single cover is used in the song’s music video. Check it out below along with the covers for these upcoming releases!
Billie Eilish is one of the new stars of the Western music scene. She’s found a fan in ACO, who will release a cover of Billie’s “bury a friend” digitally on September 6. ACO said that she decided to cover the song before it became popular, when it first came out. She was attracted to “bury a friend” based on the music video and the song’s dark title. She’s enlisted Nakao Kentaro (NUMBER GIRL / Crypt City), Kashikura Takashitoe / the HIATUS), Bessho Kazuhiro (Gentle Forest Jazz Band), and Sakata Akira to back her on the song. Unisex group AAA might be temporarily down to 5 members, but they’re still releasing new material for their dedicated fanbase.
The groups latest effort is “BAD LOVE“, their 57th single overall. It was released digitally back on August 10th, and will have it’s physical release on October 23rd. It will serve as the theme song for the Abema TV drama series “Uabi Ai, Natsu”.
A drama ver. of the MV was just uploaded on avex’s official YouTube, featuring clips of from the drama series, along with footage of the group. The normal MV with just the members will be included on the physical version of the single.
More change is underway at Johnny & Associates! The company has revealed that Nishikido Ryo will leave Kanjani8 and the company at the end of this month. This news came right as the group finished their 15th anniversary five dome “Jugosai” tour on September 4.
