On November 13, Shiina Ringo will do something she’s never done before: release a best album! Ringo’s career-spanning best album is titled “Newton no Ringo ~Hajimete no Best Ban~.” The two-disc remastered set will feature songs that were chosen by analyzing various data such as chart positions and sales results.
“Newton no Ringo ~Hajimete no Best Ban~” will include two new songs, one that is currently untitled and another called “Kouzen no Himitsu.” The latter serves as the theme song for season three of the TV Asahi drama “Jikou Keisatsu.”
December 11 is another big day for Ringo fans seeing as how she has three releases out that day. Two of the releases are music video collections, while the last is the two-disc vinyl version of her album from earlier this year, “Sandokushi.” The first video collection is titled “Seiteki Healing ~Sono Go~Nana~” and it includes all of Ringo’s video from 2014 forward. The second video collection is titled “The Sexual Healing Total Orgasm Experience” and it includes all of the videos she’s made over the course of her career. Both video collections will be available on DVD and Blu-ray.

As previously reported, MUSIC STATION will be undergoing some changes next month. The revamped MUSIC STATION will make its debut on October 18. The newest changes include a new set and a new logo, which can be seen above.
This month, two songs from 2019 were certified Platinum for selling 250,000 copies: Yonezu Kenshi‘s “Uma to Shika” and LiSA‘s “Gurenge.”
Four songs from 2019 were certified Gold for selling 100,000 copies: Aimer‘s “STAND-ALONE”, Spitz‘s “Yasashii Anoko”, and RADWIMPS‘ “Great Escape” and “Ai ni Dekiru Koto wa Mada Aru Kai.”
One song was certified Million for selling 1,000,000 copies: GReeeeN‘s “Ayumi.”
Girl group Perfume is riding high off of the success of their latest best album “Perfume the best P Cubed“. Released on September 18th, 2019 it’s a compilation album profiling the girls’ long 15 year career since making their major debut.
The album finished at the top spot on Oricon just shy of 100k, selling 97k units. On Oricon’s digital chart they also took the spot spot with 50k units. With this the girls have tied a new chart record set by AKB48 for female groups who have the most #1 albums.
Actors Masataka Kubota and Asami Mizukawa are now married! The happy couple officially submitted their marriage papers on September 21st, 2019.
Asami made a post on her official Instagram thanking fans for their lovely words and continued support. She described Masataka as a man who raises her heart, and hopes to have a fulfilling life together. Accompanied with the caption is a photo of the two posing on the beach, with a beautiful sunset in the background.
AAA member Nissy (Takahiro Nishijima) is the cover boy for the fashion magazine Tokyo Numero. He was selected as the special model for the magazines November 2019 issue, on sale September 28th, 2019.
The issue will feature 10 pages of Nissy in various fashions, along with one of the first looks at his own jewelry line “SoireeO“. Fans will be able to pre-order products from the range beginning on September 30th, which is when further details about the line will be released.
Many talented artists in the Japanese music scene have been recruited to record songs for a tribute album in honor of the beloved legend Yosui Inoue.
The album is being released in honor of his 50 year long career. He is quite renowned for his odd lyrics, district singing tone, and signature black sunglasses. Yosui was the very first artist to sell over 1 million copies of an album in Japan alone, with his 1973 release “Kori no Sekai”.
